British-Zimbabwean star Regé-Jean Page became a household name after the release of the period drama series "Bridgerton" on Netflix. He captivated fans around the world with his portrayal of the dashing Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings.
The 31-year-old actor delivered an exceptional performance, and his charm left many fans in awe. His appeal is so strong that speculations have been swirling about him soon playing the iconic James Bond role.

Recently, Page left fans swooning anew after posting a new photo of himself shirtless in bed. The actor, who first gained prominence with his role in the 2016 mini-series "Roots," exposed his chiseled chest. A fan commented:
"Dear Lord...Thank you for your creation."
Another mesmerized fan remarked that she loved everything about the photo, which showed Page leaning against the headboard with his head bowed. Except for his toned upper torso, the rest of him was covered by a massive white comforter.

While fans showered him with praises, the actor himself had little to say about his photo, merely captioning it with "Zzz." Page, who has more than 5 million followers on Instagram, mostly posts pictures of himself wearing formal suits.
Netflix earlier announced that production for season 2 will begin in spring 2021.
While fans equally loved his photos in suits, the actor's latest half-naked picture caused much excitement among his fans, many of whom dropped fire and heart-eyes emojis conveying their appreciation of his physique.

Previously, fans of "Bridgerton" were left heartbroken after it was announced that Page would not appear in Season 2. The actor was contracted for only one season of the show, which drew in 82 million households in the first month after its release.
Although he won't appear in the upcoming season, Page expressed excitement about the show's continuation. He was grateful for the opportunity to be part of the series with a good-looking cast, including Phoebe Dynevor, who plays his wife, Daphne.

Page described his "Bridgerton" experience as "the ride of a lifetime." Meanwhile, fans are pumped up for the show's next season, which chronicles the lives of esteemed families of British high society in the Regency era.
Netflix earlier announced that production for season 2 would begin in spring 2021. The series was among Shonda Rhimes' highly-anticipated projects as part of the eight-show deal she inked with the giant streaming service back in 2017.
As for Page, reports suggest that he is the favorite to take over the role of James Bond from Daniel Craig. Also reportedly in talks to play the iconic character are actors Henry Cavill and George MacKay.
While his next film project is still uncertain, Page recently delighted fans with his Calm app sleep story, narrating Victoria Gosling's "The Prince and the Naturalist" for 32 minutes. The app previously collaborated with Idris Alba and Harry Styles.
