Supermodel Jasmine Tookes Weds Longtime Love Juan David Borrero

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel, who met her now-husband unconventionally, walked down the aisle in a lavish Ecuador wedding ceremony over the past weekend.

Jasmine Tookes gave her five million followers on Instagram a glimpse of her beautiful wedding as she said ‘I do’ to Snapchat executive Juan David Borrero on Saturday, September 4, and captioned her post:

“Still can’t believe I’m living a real-life fairytale with you @juandavidborrero 9.4.21. I’m officially Mrs. Borrero.”

THE NUPTIALS

Along with the endearing post, the 30-year-old shared several photos from the couple's big day, with the first image showing the newlyweds stepping outside the church flashing.

The second photo showed the bride entering the cathedral in her luxurious, stunning gown, the guests on their feet to witness her big moment.

The third shot was a black and white image that displayed the couple embracing each other, and the other, which has a picturesque element, showed them at the altar.

Fellow stars were in awe of the gorgeous ceremony and took to the comments section to congratulate the bride and groom on their nuptials.

Actress Roselyn Sanchez wrote alongside a heart emoji, “So so so stunning, Jas! Congrats… so beyond happy for you. Blessings and much love." One user said the event was the best wedding ever.

Tookes wedded her boyfriend of five years at the Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, a famous Catholic Church in Quito, Ecuador, over Labor Day Weekend.

She donned a white lace long-sleeve Zuhair Murad gown with a 15-foot train and floral headpiece and paired the look with Ritani jewelry and custom white satin heels by Sarah Flint, according to Vogue.

As for the groom, the director of international markets for Snapchat, the 31-year-old wore a double-breasted Armani suit, the outlet reported.

Following their wedding ceremony, the now-husband and wife, along with their guests, celebrated at a reception at a lovely hacienda near Quito. There, Tookes stepped out in a silk white halter mini dress.

HOW THEY MET

The lovebirds met back in 2016 when Borrero's social media company launched a new feature called Group Stories and wanted Tookes and her friends to promote it.

In an interview with Vogue, the California native shared that luckily, they all happened to be in Los Angeles for a fashion show at the time and went to lunch with Borrero and his colleagues.

After lunch, he invited her to a birthday party, aware of the natural attraction they had for each other. They kept in touch since that night, and the rest is history.

THE PROPOSAL & BRIDAL PARTY

Borrero proposed to the model with a 7-carat Ritani diamond ring on September 21, 2020, during a surprise trip to Rose Café in Venice, California, where the duo met.

Tookes said it was the best day she could have ever imagined. In addition, for her bridal party, she had a Victoria's Secret models' reunion.

Those present were Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skriver, Shanina Shaik, Kelsey Merritt, and Lais Ribeiro. The bridesmaids were 12 in total, and they wore sage green satin gowns by Amsale in curve-hugging silhouettes.
