Katy Perry Debuts New Hairstyle in IG Post Celebrating Spotify Milestone for 'Smile' Album

Singer and "American Idol" judge Katy Perry debuted a new and fiery hairstyle this week when she shared that her album "Smile" hit a significant milestone on Spotify.

Katy Perry rocked a new fiery hairstyle on Instagram. She posed for two photos that showed she changed her previous blond locks for a gorgeous shade of orange.

The singer has been rocking a short cut in recent years, but her hair was much longer and reached her waist in the photos. Perry complemented the new hair color with bright red lipstick and a baby pink floor-length gown.

The "Teenage Dream" singer posed with a large bouquet of red heart-shaped balloons. In the first photo, fans got a view of Perry's full body, while the second photo was a close-up of the singer smiling.

Perry shared the two beautiful photos and her new hairstyle to celebrate that her album, "Smile," reached 1 billion total streams on the music streaming app Spotify. Perry celebrated in the caption:

Perry's famous friends and her loving fans congratulated the milestone in the comment section of the post. Fans showed their support of the singer as the post gained over 2 million likes on the platform.

Besides celebrating that impressive career milestone, Perry and her partner, Orlando Bloom, celebrated their daughter, Dasiy Dove's first birthday at the end of August.

The singer showed the TV personality how to swaddle a baby with a SwaddleMe and a stuffed animal.

The "Dark Horse" singer and "Pirates of the Caribean" actor have spoken publicly about parenthood. Daisy is Perry's first child and Bloom's second. His first child is his son Flynn, whom he shares with his ex, Miranda Kerr.

Recently, Perry met up with Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King for their tour, "Joy Ride." The three stopped at a Santa Barbara, California Boutique called Chicken Little, and Perry shared what motherhood meant to her:

Perry opened up about her first six weeks after Daisy's birth. She remarked that the period came as a surprise as her body felt insane because as a new mom, she was not getting a lot of sleep.

The "Roar" singer also shared a few tips on parenting a baby. The singer showed the TV personality how to swaddle a baby with a SwaddleMe and a stuffed animal.

Another tip was to avoid outfits that had bow ties. Perry commented that it was wise to avoid ties when Winfrey was looking at an outfit that had the accessory on it.

Perry is not the only parent to share her experiences of having a new baby. Bloom shared during an interview what his morning routine with Daisy looks like. It involves waking up at 6:30 and then checking on Daisy and connecting with her while Perry lies in.
