Jenna Bush Hager Congratulates Twin Sister Barbara on Birth of Her First Baby

This week, Jenna Bush Hager took to Instagram to celebrate her twin sister, Barbara Bush, and the newest addition to the Bush family, a baby girl.

"Today" host Jenna Bush Hager celebrated the birth of her niece this week. The mother-of-three took to Instagram to share the news and photos of the little one with her fans.

Daughter of former President George Bush and Laura Bush, Barbara Bush welcomed her first child, a daughter named Cora Georgia Coyne, with her husband Craig Coyne on Monday, September 27, 2021.

George and Laura confirmed the news in a statement shared with People. The grandparents expressed their excitement and gratitude for Cora's arrival and revealed she was healthy and adorable.

Later, Hager shared adorable photos of the little one and wrote a touching message on Instagram to congratulate her sister on the birth. Hager began her message with:

"Dearest Cora Georgia, Today is the day I got to meet my most beautiful, precious, feisty, niece (a bit earlier than we expected!)"

Hager shared that she watched in amazement as her sister, who she described as tough and dear, became a mother for the first time. She added that she fell in love with her niece.

The TV host revealed that some of her cousins were waiting anxiously to play with her, but they would have to wait a little longer. A few of those cousins include Hager and her husband, Henry Hager's children, Mila, Poppy, and Hal.

[Barbara] shared her gratitude as it was time they would not have otherwise had.

Although Cora might not meet her cousins yet, she will likely be spending time with her grandparents. Barbara welcomed her daughter in Maine, close to the Bush family home where she and Craig were married.

The couple has spent a lot of time over the last year with her parents. Barbara described the time with her parents as the silver lining of the COVID-19 pandemic as she told People:

"There's something really lovely about the simplicity of being with someone every day."

Barbara explained that visiting her parents for the holidays was different because it is usually a much more condensed period. She shared her gratitude as it was time they would not have otherwise had.

Unlike her "Today with Jenna and Hoda" co-host sister, Barbara keeps her personal life private. Her Instagram is private, so family and fans can only keep up to date with her life during a rare interview.

So if fans want to see more photos of the Bushes' newest member, they will have to wait until her sister, who has 1.2 million followers on Instagram, shares more pictures of Cora as she grows up.

The two sisters, who used to live a few blocks away from each other in New York City, are now living far apart. Hager is still in NYC while her twin and her husband moved to Boston before the pandemic.
