Ronda Rousey Embraces Her Postpartum Body Even Though She Is Excited to Start Training
WWE star and new mom Ronda Rousey embraced her postpartum body in a new photo on Instagram while sharing her feelings about heading back to the gym for training.
Ronda Rousey, who gave birth to her first child in September, shared photos of her postpartum body and her excitement to head back to the gym despite losing a lot of muscle.
Last month, the new mother welcomed her daughter, La'akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, with her husband, Travis Browne. They both shared the news of their daughter, who they call Pō, on their respective Instagram accounts.

The couple shared the same two photos of their newborn. One photo showed their daughter under Rousey's white shirt while her hand rested on her mother's chest. The second photo showed Pō's hand lying on Browne's tattooed arm.
Both parents kept their captions short and sweet. Browne welcomed the little one into the world and expressed that she was incredibly loved while her wrestler mom wrote:

A few days later, Rousey shared a video of herself cuddling the newborn in the hospital and stated she could not believe her daughter was one week old already. She added she wished she could bottle up the memories.
With her daughter now ten days old, Rousey took to Instagram to share her postpartum body with her followers and explain her feelings towards returning to training.
But despite the big challenge, ultimately, Rousey is looking forward to getting the all-clear from her doctor...
The athlete first explained that her mother, AnnMarie De Mars, had gone back to training six days after giving birth to Rousey's sister. De Mars then went on to win the judo US Open six weeks later.
Despite her mom's quick return to training, Rousey admitted she was prepared to wait a little longer before hitting the gym. However, she has to wait to see how long her recovery might be, as she explained:
"My body seems to be recovering faster than I hoped, but I won’t really know if Pō tossed a grenade on the way out till my 6 week checkup."
Rousey revealed it was difficult not to feel discouraged after losing what she described as a lifetime of muscle after being pregnant and breaking her hands left her unable to train.
But despite the big challenge, ultimately, Rousey is looking forward to getting the all-clear from her doctor to hit the gym again. Instead of thinking about the muscle she lost, Rousey is looking on the bright side.
She explained that her muscle loss was an opportunity to mold her body into this next chapter. She hashtagged what her new phase of life would be: #BaddestMomOnThePlanet.
Alongside her optimistic message, Rousey shared two candid photos of what her 10-day postpartum body looked like. However, she did admit that she cropped the icepack in her underwear out of the photo.
