Kylie Jenner Had Her Lips Done for the First Time After a Boy She Liked Made a Remark
One needs to think long and hard before having a procedure done on their bodies, but for Kylie Jenner, a simple remark from a boy she liked was the ultimate decider for her cosmetic lip augmentation.
Kylie Jenner, 24, is today a renowned businesswoman, model, socialite, and media personality. Her fame can be partly attributed to being part of the widely known Kardashian family and boasts of famous half-siblings, including Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian.
Her mother is the famous Kris Jenner, while her dad was Bruce, now Caitlyn Jenner. Despite being born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she started engaging in her entrepreneurial skills at an early age.

At only 14, Kylie partnered with the Pacsun clothing brand, together with her elder sister Kendall to create "Kendall & Kylie." She would go on to launch her own cosmetics line, "Kylie Lips Kits," later renamed Kylie Cosmetic.
But the story of her involvement in the cosmetic industry may have stemmed from her earlier insecurities about her body, specifically her lips. She did not like her small lips and was always so acutely self-aware.
Speaking on her show "Life of Kylie," she revealed that she had always been insecure about her small lips. However, she had never considered doing anything about it until a life-changing moment happened.

USING FILLERS TO ENHANCE HER LIP LOOK
The determining moment was when she was 15 and kissed a boy she liked, who then made a comment that left her wishing she had gone for the procedure earlier on. After a steamy session with a guy she was really into, he said:
"I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips."
That did it for Kylie. She says she took the comment really hard and adds that she suddenly did not feel pretty or desirable and consequently turned to makeup to enhance her looks.
She started using lip-liner to create the illusion of fuller lips, but even then, the results were not satisfying to the young Kylie. Eventually, she began entertaining the idea of having a non-surgical lip augmentation done.
And it did work in her favor because since she did the lip injections, Kylie's lips have become one of her most desired signature looks and millions of young girls wish to be just like her.
The mother of one capitalized on the craze and launched her cosmetics line, with a lip kit that featured a lip liner and a long-lasting lipstick. Today, the company is a billion-dollar entity and has since expanded to brow products, bronzers, and eyeshadow.
Kylie, without a doubt, started a cultural revolution with her lip products, but still, it was not enough to give her a look she so much desired.
She also admitted that despite many celebrities going for fillers, the process is not entirely painless. Harper Bazaar reports Kylie to have spoken to Complex, saying:
"When you first get them done, you're like, "Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side." I'd go back and be like, "They went down" and think they could be bigger. But I went too far. It was very painful."
GOING THE FILLER-FREE WAY IN PREPARATION FOR PREGNANCY
In February of 2018, Kylie announced that she was expecting her first baby with her partner, Travis Scott. While she kept the most part of her pregnancy a secret, she was sufficiently prepared for the significant change in her life.
Amid mixed opinions, many doctors have advised against getting or maintaining any fillers during pregnancy. While there are no proven effects of such fillers on the unborn baby, an infected body part can be painful to the mother.
It seemed, however, that Kylie's pregnancy gave her a body-image boost. That same year, she heeded her doctor's advice and decided to get her lip fillers dissolved in preparation for welcoming her baby girl home.
She said expecting a daughter made her think hard about her beauty trends in the future and made her love and accept everything about herself even more.
She suddenly had the desire to have a different outlook on beauty and life in general so she could pass that on to her daughter. She wanted to be the perfect example of acceptance of one's body image.
While she did not directly announce that she was having the fillers dissolved, fans could easily spot the change as she rocked a more natural look since becoming a first-time mom to her baby Stormi.
She was also optimistic that her baby girl would take after her big eyes but prayed that she would have her father's lips because even after all that time, Kylie still struggled to accept her natural lip curvature.
Luckily, little Stormi had her father's lips and her mother's eyes, just like Kylie hoped she would, and for that, she will forever be grateful.
Besides her beauty line, Kylie has also gained fame from her family's reality TV show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," which chronicles the personal lives of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
Turns out, the resolve to go natural was short-lived, and she would soon go back to her lip-filling ways, and in November that same year, her lips looked a bit "touched-up," from her Instagram posts.
Since then, Kylie has continued to use lip fillers on her pout but has vehemently denied any claimed that she has had plastic surgery done to her face. She, however, admits that she has more than once had fillers added to other parts of her face.
While Kylie found solace and body image confidence in fillers, she continues to make a fortune with her cosmetic line, appearing on the April 2020 issue of Forbes as the youngest "self-made" billionaire.
Besides her beauty line, Kylie has also gained fame from her family's reality TV show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," which chronicles the personal lives of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
Kylie continues to share her cosmetic journey with her die-hard fans on her social media pages and, in the process, inspires many young people to go for their desired looks despite the backlash and criticism from online bullies.
