Former child star Scott Weinger and his wife Rina Mimoun have been married for over a decade. However, there was an instance whereby their romance nearly never happened.

A friend decided to do due diligence in checking out Weinger before he went out on a date with his future spouse, and what they discovered almost ruined the chances of a relationship between the two.

"After we arranged our first date, my wife abruptly canceled because her coworker Googled me and found a fan website about me," the actor recalled. He further explained that the brunette beauty assumed that he had created the site himself, adding:

"She thought, 'Oh God, I can't date anybody who's going to make a website dedicated to himself. I can't handle that level of ego.'"

Regardless of the misunderstanding, the pair ended up dating. The television star shared a throwback image of the lovebirds beaming on Instagram in December 2017.

Weinger explained that it was the first ever photo that they took together as a couple while joking that he had no idea why they decided to take a shot of themselves inside a fire truck.

The movie star and Mimoun tied the knot in 2008. Weinger, also best known for voicing the aspiring prince in Disney's 1992 "Aladdin," revealed in a December 2022 interview that his beloved wife "gets a kick out of" him doing the Disney character impression.

She thought the role would only end up in his childhood, but he has since played it over again in straight-to-video sequels and video games, Weinger divulged.
