Tom Holland Ignored 'Spider-Man' Producer's Advice Not to Date Zendaya & Recently Revealed Plans to 'Focus on Starting a Family'
"Spider-Man: No Way Home" stars Tom Holland and Zendaya have finally confirmed they are dating. Rumors of a possible romance have been going around for years.
Zendaya and Tom Holland play love interests MJ and Peter Parker. While they've always been close, it was not until July 2021 that the paparazzi photographed them kissing, putting the rumors to rest.
"Spiderman" producer Amy Pascal says she took the two aside separately and advised them not to get involved romantically, as it would complicate things. Still, they ignored her and went on to become a couple.

A TIMELINE OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP
Even though the two vehemently denied any dating rumors, their chemistry off-screen seemed to tell a different story. Photos of them being playful with each other at the San Diego Comic-Con were circulated widely by fans.
In May 2017, they began attending promotional events together, but photos seemed to show a more personal interaction. In March 2018, they were seen at a Los Angeles comic book store together.
It became clear to the public that the two were an item after photos of a steamy makeout session came out in July 2021.
DATING RUMORS CONFIRMED
The couple was pictured kissing at a red light during a sunset drive in Holland's car. The "Cherry" star was pictured holding Zendaya's face closely and staring lovingly at her.
He then caressed her chin as they both smiled, and then Holland leaned in to kiss the "Euphoria" actress. They were hanging out at the Silver Lake neighborhood where Zendaya's mother resides.
Elle reports that as of December 2017, Holland had already met Zendaya's parents at a New York steakhouse. It seemed that they were already taking their relationship to another level.
DESIRE TO START A FAMILY
Now that Holland has found love in Zendaya, he has also opened up about his desire to one day become a father. The star, who has starred in three Spiderman movies, says he has spent the last six years focusing on his career.
And while he's loved every minute of his burgeoning career, he wants to turn his attention to his personal life and hopes to one day start a family of his own. He says:
"I want to take a break and focus on starting a family and figuring out what I want to do outside of this world."
Holland says he loves kids and can't wait to one day become a dad. He also disclosed that if he had not made a career in acting, he would have been a school teacher.
