Adam Levine does not only have excellent songwriting skills or melodious vocals; he's also got a thing for the good things of life. The pop singer lives in one of the best celebrity houses with his wife, Behati Prinsloo.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo's corner of solitude is nestled between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The rock vocalist and Namibian model, who married in 2014, started afresh with their new LA house after selling their former home.

A LOVELY HOME

Levine and his bride love the isolation their new house offered them. According to the model, they were drawn to the residence because it seemed comfortable.

Furthermore, Prinsloo felt the house had previously been home to children. Levine's Pacific Palisades home provides a secure haven for him, his wife, and their two daughters, Dusty and Gio.

Since its construction in the 1930s, the property, designed by ranch-style maestro Cliff May has been home to many of Hollywood A-listers, including Gregory Peck, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Garner.

By the time Levine and his family arrived, the original May design had mostly been eroded by decades of modifications and expansions.

Speaking of why he sold his former Beverly Hills home, Levine remarked that he got tired of the city life and wanted to live somewhere where he would not hear the sounds of traffic or feel the busyness of life.

TOP-NOTCH DESIGNS

While the couple's professional titles — pop star and supermodel — suggest grandeur, their home in Los Angeles' is pleasantly simple. Only big works of contemporary art punctuate the homes' muted color palette. Levine and his wife are lovers of art, and it was only natural that their home reflects their passion.

Lively and attractive artworks by American painters Henry Taylor and Richard Prince warm up the dining and bar areas. At the same time, some wooden furniture designed by celebrated French architect Charlotte Perriand keeps the lavish home from feeling like an empty gallery.

Highlighting the importance of the house, Levine quipped that it felt like the perfect sanctuary during the COVID-19 pandemic, and they felt grateful to nest their family there.

A MODERN-DAY KITCHEN

Levine and Prinsloo featured Architectural Digest in a tour of the house, where they gave fans a view into their world. The couple started by confessing they were die-hard Clement fans and loved her designs.

A walk through the house showed that everything matched the couple's ideal home, especially their kitchen. The "Girl Like You" crooner jokingly said he and his family live in the kitchen.

Judging from how exquisite it looked, it was easy to understand the statement. Prinsloo also affirmed that everyone in the family loved to hang out in the kitchen, which featured various pieces of furniture.

Levine, a self-professed "shoe head," dropped a pair of classic Nike boots in his kitchen. Also, the kitchen features lovely artwork by Sage Vaughn.

The piece was a painting of a shark floating above a field of flowers. It was a gift from the Namibian model to her husband and served as the cover art for Levine's "Jordi" album.

The family home also included a movie theater, where the family enjoyed movie nights. The theater includes a games spot, a giant screen, and a brown fur chair which Prinsloo described as her favorite chair in the world. There is also a bar where they hang out with friends alongside a dining room that they barely use.

Levine's bar is decorated with pictures of some of his heroes and some people he loves, such as Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Pearl Jam, and the Beatles. The couple described their bar room as a place for grownups.

LIVING ROOM, CLOSET, AND BATHROOMS

Levine's living room is another top spot in the house. It features top designs and furniture, including a low daybed. A giant painting by artist Rashid Johnson sets the tone for the emotion of the house.

Also, the 42-year-old has a special closet where he houses his multiple awards, including three Grammys. According to him, he kept his prized possessions a bit private, so they don't seem like a show-off.

Prinsloo's closet boasts a sizable shoe collection, while Levine's walk-in closet features a Rick Owens daybed in the middle. The singer admitted that his closet was inspired by the famous David Letterman and Kanye West interview.

Furthermore, Levine curated a collection of sweats, t-shirts, and sneakers, noting that that's all he wears. Being a music fanatic, Levine's home comes with a fully equipped office/studio.

The father of two noted that he recorded a lot of albums in the makeshift studio, which has a lovely painting of a Rhino done by his close pal Andrew Zuckerman.

On their bed lies a giant Raymond Pettibon painting which gives the room a shiny but relaxed appeal. Levine considers himself a big Petibon fan and feels inspired to wake up to the art every morning.

The couple's bathroom is another fancy part of the house. It features a shower and a tub in one spot and is situated in the closet. The family's sauna is close to the bathroom, where Levine spends most of his time.

Mark Rios, a landscape architect, designed several outdoor parts that create the illusion of various rooms in the garden and backyard. There's a raised platform for taking in the views, a sunken conversation pit off the den for late-night gatherings, and a peaceful pool area surrounded by olive trees.
