Duff Goldman always knew he wanted to cook for a living, and at age four, he proved it when his mother caught him watching Chef Tell on TV with a meat cleaver in his hands.

If it had not been obvious then, it became apparent when he was in second grade, and he almost lost his finger while carving a pumpkin. Indeed it made it seem he had been born to be a Food Network star.

The talented man is a great cook, but he has a private life not many of his fans are acquainted with outside the kitchen. Here are all the details of the chef's family and marriage.

WHO IS HIS WIFE?

Duff's wife, Johnna, was born in 1993 and is a native of California. She was brought up by her mother, Rebecca Colbry, in Los Angeles, and there she resides with her husband.

The gorgeous woman has spent most of her life in California; however, she reportedly left for Oklahoma, where she spent a few years studying at the Tulsa School of Arts and Science.

Her Instagram bio tells the world she is a writer, and she has also been known to sell handmade plant hangers on the online marketplace Etsy, but that's not all she does.

The beautiful woman once served as an assistant manager at sneaker company GREATS until January 2019. She also has experience working for a clothing company, Roots, making her quite the all-rounder.

HOW THEY MET

How Johnna came to love Duff is a heartwarming but modern story, and unlike many lasting relationships these days, it began on the dating app Tinder.

He has no issues cleaning the dirty dishes and picking up other menial house chores that could constitute a nuisance for his wife.

The two first met in 2016 on this app, and they immediately bonded over their mutual love of art and dessert. From there, it was a short distance they had to fall to find themselves in love.

They dated for about two years before the talented chef suddenly popped the big question on an unsuspecting Johnna.

According to Duff, the idea had occurred to him spontaneously as well — in fact; he had been busy shaving his head in the shower when the realization that he loves her hit him in the guts.

He popped the big question just a few hours later after they enjoyed an Easter dinner with Johnna's family, having asked her mom beforehand. Just as in love with him as he is with her, Johnna said yes, and Duff celebrated with a happy tribute he posted on Instagram.

He had not planned to propose when he did, so there had been no diamond ring for Johnna. So instead, the Food Network Star tied some twine around her finger.

He apologized for not having the real thing in his Instagram caption and expressed hope that she wouldn't mind the butcher's twine.

Johnna later picked out "a thin and very simple, beautiful band," and the lovely couple went on to tie the knot in January 2019 at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles.

As a food lover and chef, Duff made sure the ceremony featured baking masterpieces — these came in the form of cakes, one of which was made entirely from meat.

They were an anticipated highlight of the small ceremony and were put together by Duff and his team. After the wedding, which famous wedding planner Mindy Weiss planned, Duff and his wife zoomed off to Thailand for the first leg of their honeymoon.

The second part of the honeymoon was a two-month-long vacation expected to take them worldwide, and the two were very excited about it.

THEIR FIRST CHILD

Duff and Johnna's romantic relationship was blessed with their first child, a daughter named Josephine, who was born on January 31, 2021.

They announced that they were expecting in August 2020 and when the baby was born, the proud parents took to their respective social media pages to gush about it.

"I have no words to describe this blessing. @johnnapgoldman and I made a baby!" Duff wrote on his Instagram page. "Her name is Josephine, and she is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in the whole world."

Johnna shared a picture of her daughter wearing a purple onesie, and her caption contained basic information on Josephine.

Since his marriage in 2019, Duff has become more family-oriented, and now that he is a father, his focus on his family has become doubled. He was lucky to marry a woman who seemed to compliment him in every way, and for him, that means there was a lot of fun to be had.

His Instagram page is inundated with photos of his child, and the captions contain praises of her. When he's not doing that, the chef is busy hailing his wife, whom he once called a "natural mother."

Duff is very involved in caring for their child despite his blooming career, and he allegedly does everything thinkable except breastfeeding the child.

The chef once referred to himself as "Mr. Mom" because he has no issues cleaning the dirty dishes and picking up other menial house chores that could constitute a nuisance for his wife and thus distract her from caring for the baby.

The two of them have the teamwork keyed down, with Duff keeping the house running while his wife keeps their child fed and comfortable.

Duff's word of advice to first-time dads out there is to do everything and never give up "daddy time." He says, "It's hard to get some daddy time because they're always together, but I get some set aside in the morning when she sleeps on me, and I just want to die."

Duff is clearly out there living his best life with his family, and his fans would have it no other way. Here's to hoping their union lasts for a long, long time.
