Six-year-old Audie Rick is gaining an adoring fan base for his role as John Dutton Sr. on the "Yellowstone" prequel show "1883." However, the part is not the child star's first role.

Rick's first non-commercial acting role was in the 2019 short fan film, "Kenobi: A Star Wars Story." He portrayed Luke Skywalker in the short film. The young star has also built an impressive career in commercials.

Portraying John Sr. in "1883" is arguably Rick's breakout role. His mother first hinted about him landing a significant role in August 2021, as she posted a photo of the young star and wrote:

"His dedication, professionalism, perseverance,... all helped to get him to this point. We can't wait to share Audie's latest booking- he sure is in for one wild ride 🤩"

He stars in the show along with his TV family Faith Hill (Margaret Dutton), Tim McGraw (James Dutton), and Isabel May (Elsa Dutton). Other cast members included Sam Elliot, LaMonica Garret, Billy Bob Thornton, and Eric Nelsen, to name a few.

The part has led Rick to a few fantastic and hilarious experiences and moments. In February 2022, his Instagram account shared an adorably funny story about a scene where Rick had to say the f-word.

Crew and production tried their best to keep the set G rated, but of course, there are slip-ups from time to time. Rick's mother explained that before Rick was supposed to say the naughty word, a crew member said "s---" in front of him.

The crew member apologized, and production reset the scene for cast members. Now was the time when Rick had to repeat the bad word and say, "Mama, what does f--- mean?" However, it came out slightly different as his mom explained online:

"Audie looks up and sure enough goes, "Mama, what does s--- mean?... F---. What does f---mean?" The funniest thing he's done on set and totally innocent 🤣 He had no clue!"

Besides getting the rare opportunity to say a naughty word, Rick's time on "1883" came with a few once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including going to Cowboy Camp, where he learned to ride a horse and use a rope.

He also got close to his onscreen mother and sister. On Instagram, Rick's account shared adorable snaps of Rick and Hill in their costumes on set, alongside which he revealed he missed her.

The country music singer shared her love for Rick on his birthday as she shared a gif of the two sword-fighting with sticks and wished the "little screen stealer" for his special day.

The John Sr. actor also showed love for May, his onscreen sister. His account shared sweet photos of himself and the "Alexa & Katie" star, who he described as the best sister a little Dutton could ever have.
