To celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary to musician Faith Hill, Tim McGraw took to Twitter to recount the best day of his life, the day he proposed to his gorgeous bride.

Before revealing the details of the day, McGraw contextualized the moment and explained he had asked Hill a few times before, but she kept saying no because she did not want to be involved with a country singer. However, the "It's Your Love" singer persisted, and his commitment finally paid off as Hill finally said yes.

McGraw detailed the special day and explained it started in a music festival trailer. He was preparing to go on stage in a trailer that had a large mirror in it. He was chatting with Hill in the trailer when he asked her to marry him. Sharing his wife's reaction, he said:

"And she says, 'You're asking me to marry you at a country music festival in a trailer house.' And I said, 'Well, it's pretty apropos if you think about it.' "

However, Hill did not seem impressed by McGraw's proposal, so he went to perform on stage without knowing whether their relationship was headed to the next level.

When McGraw arrived back at his trailer, he soon realized Hill had agreed. She was no longer in his dressing room, but she left a special message for him in lipstick on his mirror.

Hill shared her tribute video on Instagram in which she showed a few souvenirs from their life together.

The "I Need You" singer had written "Yes! I'm gonna be your wife" on his mirror. Therefore McGraw's self-described best day of his life marked the beginning of their beautiful love story together. In a romantic twist, McGraw admitted the couple still had the mirror from his trailer.

Meanwhile, alongside his sweet video for their 25th anniversary, McGraw penned a short anniversary message for his wife:

"25 years later and it's still the best day of my life. Thanks for going on this journey with me. Love you @FaithHill"

McGraw was not the only spouse reminiscing on their relationship on their anniversary. Hill shared her tribute video on Instagram in which she showed a few souvenirs from their life together.

In the video, she showed off the couple's jeep, a pair of cowboy boots she got in seventh grade, and the pair of jeans she wore in a music video for her husband's single, "Meanwhile Back at Mama's."

To sum up her video, Hill said life was about love and respect despite the difficult aspects of it. The "Wild One" singer also mentioned the couple's three daughters, Gracie, 24, Maggie, 23, and Audrey, 19.

The couple has been through a lot in their 25 years together, including McGraw's struggles with addiction. During an interview with Esquire this year, he credited his wife for helping him with his sobriety.
