Miranda Lambert, 38, Never Planned to Raise Her Children in a Bus — Her Husband Sparked Their Baby Fever
Miranda Lambert has been happily married to Brendan McLoughlin for three years. After deciding not to have kids in her previous marriage to Blake Shelton, it has been revealed that the star is finally ready to have children.
American singer and songwriter, Miranda Lambert, is one of country music's biggest names. She did not come from a musical family but rose to fame all on her own with her incredible talent.
Several Grammy wins later, the star has amassed an enormous fan base and has stamped her place as one the best in entertainment. Besides Lambert's career achievements, there are other interesting details about the icon, including that she has been married twice.

Her first marriage was to Blake Shelton, and currently, she is married to Brendan McLoughlin. Despite being married twice, Lambert, 38, has no children. Here are some details about the singer's marriage, including her thoughts on having kids.

Lambert and Shelton made the headlines when they tied the knot in 2011. It was an exciting day for the couple, especially for Shelton, as he had looked forward to marrying the country singer and starting a family afterward.
For the longest time, he had had the perfect picture of a great relationship between his parents and his kids. Unfortunately, Lambert had a different thought.

While Shelton could not wait to have kids, the country singer thought they already had a career and did not think about changing anything in their lives. For Lambert, having kids was something that needed proper planning. She confessed:
"That's one thing I really want to plan the right way because I don't want to have children and raise them on a plane or a bus."
The star wanted to enjoy her career, touring everywhere she wanted, without being tied down, and being a mother would have deprived her of that opportunity. On the other hand, Shelton was eager to start a family, irrespective of his singing career.

Excluding their stance on being parents, Lambert and Shelton faced other challenges in their marriage, mainly due to their busy schedules. The former couple barely spent time together.
At first, the distance confirmed the saying, "distance makes the heart grow fonder." They missed each other dearly, and one time the former lovebirds did not see each other for 11 days.
Eventually, Lambert made a romantic gesture and visited her man, who was very excited. Lambert revealed that seeing Shelton and hearing all the nice things he said about her made her feel special.

Unfortunately, the distance eventually created tension between them. It affected the duo to the point where they said to each other:
"Where is our time? We need us time."
Due to the far distance and growing tension, it is no surprise that Lambert decided to focus on her career and not have children.

To date, it is unknown if Lambert and Shelton's stance on welcoming children was the breaking point of their union. The pair eventually called it quits in 2015, after four years of marriage.
Four years later, Lambert found love again in the arms of Brendan McLoughlin, and the pair walked down the aisle. Not long after, it was revealed that the country singer wanted to have children with her husband. Speaking about Lambert, a source disclosed:
"We've never, ever seen her so happy and think she's finally found her one and only. Miranda and Brendan both want kids. [She] never felt ready to have children until she met Brendan."

While Lambert awaits motherhood, she is already a doting stepmom to McLoughlin's little son, Landon, from a previous relationship. The source explained that Lambert is happy about her stepmom duties. The "If I was a Cowboy" singer loves the whole phase.
Lambert has raised many dogs, so she has her motherly instincts in check. In addition, the Grammy Award-winning singer considers being a stepmom an incredible journey and sees the role as great practice for when she has a baby.
Lambert and McLoughlin are finally ready to grow their family. Last month, a source revealed to Us Weekly that the singer has started trying to get pregnant. In the source's words:
"She and Brendan decided after their third wedding anniversary, they would start trying. Miranda is thrilled, and Brendan has always wanted to [have kids with her]."
While many people wonder why Lambert has had a change of heart, the singer revealed that the COVID-19 lockdown made her have the baby fever.

Before the lockdown, the songwriter spent most of her time touring and singing, but after staying at home and traveling more with McLoughlin, she thought of having a baby. A source revealed to Life & Style:
"They're sightseeing, making stops, cooking, sleeping under the stars — it's been heaven. They've even had long conversations about starting a family together. It's something they both want but agreed to wait a little while."
The source further said: "Now, having all this time together with no interruptions, and with the current state of the world, they're rethinking the timing and everything. A family might come sooner than they originally planned."

While the world awaits the outcome of Lambert and McLoughlin's decision to have a child, fans are hopeful that the couple will spend a lifetime together.
In January, the lovebirds celebrated their third wedding anniversary. Lambert took to her Instagram page with a lovely post to commemorate the occasion. She shared a snapshot of her and her spouse having a good time at the beach. Hopefully, the couple will celebrate more anniversaries together.
The pair appear to have permanently resided in Nashville. Currently, they are building a house, which will undoubtedly have enough space for their growing family.
