Kara Kilmer's role on "Chicago Fire" made her a household name, but fans recently became suspicious about her long-term involvement on the show.

Kara Killmer is an American actress born on June 14, 1988, in Crowley, Texas. Although Kilmer has starred in a series of high-performing movies in the last few years, her career did not start on an easy note.

Hollywood is known for its stiff competition, and getting a good role was a challenge for the blonde beauty in her early years.

However, Killmer's ambition to be on some of the country's top shows kept her committed to her craft until she landed her breakout role as paramedic Sylvie Brett in the NBC drama series "Chicago Fire."

The 33-year-old has shared the screen with some of Hollywood's top performers. Killmer made her feature film debut in the 2015 adventure thriller "Beyond the Mask." But her role in "Chicago Fire" appears to be her favorite.

"Chicago Fire" delves into the private and professional lives of the Chicago Fire Department's firefighters, rescue workers, and paramedics in the fictional Firehouse 51.

Killmer joined the cast of the NBC drama in 2014, acting as the paramedic who replaced Leslie Shay (Lauren German). She has built a loyal fan base since then, but recently, her fans have been concerned about her continuity on the show.

Speculation about Killmer's departure arose due to her character's long-distance relationship with Casey. Fans anticipated that Kilmer's character would relocate to be with her lover.

But, showrunner Derek Haas confirmed the medic remains a big part of the show and has a lot on her plate during Season 10.

Fans were also concerned that Killmer might be pregnant, which would provide an avenue for her exit from the show. The pregnancy scare became viral amongst the show's viewers, who suspected Kilmer's attire in the series was a deliberate attempt to cover her stomach.

The actress has mostly been seen wearing puffy coats. But reports confirmed that the "Behind the Mask" star is not pregnant, although she is happily married to her husband and "Behind the Mask" co-star Andrew Cheney.

Killmer and her husband met on a movie set and immediately connected. The couple tied the knot in 2016. The couple presently does not have any children, but their union seems to be a happy one.

Killmer's husband, Cheney, is no stranger to Hollywood. Some of his acting credits include roles in movies such as "Seasons of Gray," "77 Chances," "Fourth World," and many others.

Although Killmer and her husband are movie stars, the couple prefers to keep the details of their family private. As a result, not much is known about their dating period or their life as a married couple. In addition, Cheney keeps his Instagram page private. Meanwhile, Killmer has an open Instagram account.

However, she rarely shares anything romantic that gives fans an insight into her life with Cheney. Instead, the bulk of her post focuses on promoting new episodes of her famous series, "Chicago Fire."
