Joel Scott Osteen is popularly known as an American pastor, author, and televangelist. At 59, he has built a legacy in ministry and continues to inspire many people with his faith.

For a preacher like Joel, his success story cannot be complete without mentioning his wife of more than three decades, Victoria Osteen.

Like her husband, Victoria is a pastor and an author. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and was raised in a Christian home under a mother who worked as a Sunday School teacher and a father who served as a deacon.

In due time, Victoria graduated from high school and got admitted to the University of Houston to study psychology. In 1985, Victoria and Joel met for the first time.

The latter walked into a jewelry shop to buy a battery for his watch and met his fate in the shape of Victoria, who was working behind the counter in her mother's jewelry shop.

She was still studying psychology, but within two years, Victoria dropped out to marry Joel. The pair tied the knot in April 1987, and since then, they have shared in each other's vocation for ministry.

It is surprising to see how much success the couple has amassed; they have previously revealed that foraying into ministry was never an option initially.

But twelve years into their marriage, Joel's father and founder of Lakewood Church passed away, and Joel was forced to carry on with his father's legacy.

Since deciding to take over his father's church, Joel has not regretted it. Victoria believes that her husband uses his God-given gifts to reach out to the world.

Apart from being successful in ministry, Joel and Victoria are also doting parents. They share two children, Jonathan and Alexandra. Jonathan is the older of the couple's children, and he was born in April 1995, while Alexandra arrived in 1998.

As children of pastors, it is expected of the couple's children to participate in the activities of Lakewood church, and they have not disappointed. In June 2019, Jonathan made his debut in his father's church with a message shortly before the Father's Day celebration.

Someday, he hopes to be as successful as his parents in ministry. On the other hand, Alexandra is deeply involved in the church's music department. She sings worship, plays the keyboard, and is in a band with Jonathan.

Since the band was formed in 2016, they have released many gospel songs catering to the spiritual growth of youths.

INSIDE JOEL'S WEALTHY LIFE

Joel and Victoria are preachers. However, the ministry has never stopped them from living wealthily. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Joel once revealed that their money comes from books and other related things.

When asked if he made an apology for his wealth, Joel told Winfrey: "I really don't, Oprah; we just feel like this is God's blessing."

Despite all of Joel's claims, the couple has been subjected to a series of backlash from the public. For example, when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, many were disappointed with how Joel responded. The public had expected the pastor to invite affected people into his enormous church for shelter.

But when he did not respond immediately, Joel was criticized. Later on, the Washington Post revealed that the possible cause of Joel being a subject of contempt amongst Americans was because he owned a yacht named S.S. Blessing.

Reports have also known that Joel's garage is filled with luxury cars, including a Ferrari, reportedly costing $325,000. In addition, Joel is known for his classy outfits, which cost him a lot of money.

The pastor has also been rumored to have gone under the knife, as he once noted that he has never ruled out plastic surgery and wants to look good.

Apart from the luxury mentioned above items, Joel is said to own an $86 million Airbus A319, one of the biggest private jets money can buy. Despite all of the negative remarks he has received, Joel has proven criticism will not stop him from living a wealthy life.

The pastor once made it known that he did not think he and his family would apologize for God's blessings, adding that "money is not and has never been the focus of their lives."

DETAILS OF THE COUPLE'S $10.5 MILLION MANSION

Among Joel's luxury possessions is the luxury estate he shares with his wife. The pastors acquired the 17,000-square-foot mansion for $10.5 million in 2010.

The property sits on 1.86 acres in the River Oaks community and boasts six bathrooms, six bedrooms, three elevators, a pool house, a one-bedroom guest house, and five fireplaces.

In addition, the house features a massive front door and stone pillars. It also has a large backyard and a large gray concrete area. The property, which Joel occupies with his wife and kids, is estimated to be worth $14 million to $16 million.

The mansion has produced many beautiful memories, which the couple has not failed to share on social media. During the 2018 Christmas season, Joel shared a picture of himself with his wife and kids, posing in front of lovely Christmas decorations.

Another snapshot taken in the mansion showed the couple posing with a birthday cake on Victoria's birthday in March 2021. Joel added the caption:
