FIREFLY, RINGMASTER, AND PRINCE REVEALED

The seventh season kicked off on March 9, 2022, with 15 contestants divided into "The Good," "The Bad," and "The Cuddly" teams. Nick Cannon was the host, and Ken Jeon, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Robin Thicke returned as panelists.

Firefly's final song was Usher's "Bad Girl" and made it to the second round. Ringmaster performed Sara Bareilles' "Gravity" and advanced to the final round. However, Prince's performance of Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" was not enough, so he ended up in third place.

The artist behind the Prince mask was "Call Me Kat" star Cheyenne Jackson. Only Scherzinger got it right as Jeong thought it was Matt Bomer, Thicke believed it was Ricky Martin, and McCarthy's guess was Ben Platt.

Firefly and Ringmaster faced off in the final round, with the former singing Thicke's "Lost Without U" and the latter performing Katy Perry's "Waking Up in Vegas."

Ringmaster lost to Firefly, so she took her mask off first – it was "The Goldbergs" actress Sarah Hayley Orrantia. Nobody guessed Orrantia was Ringmaster as the panelist believed it was Maren Morris, Lucy Hale, Hayden Panetierre, or Hailee Steinfeld.

WHO WON SEASON 7 OF "THE MASKED SINGER"?

And the winner is: singer and dancer Teyana Taylor/Firefly! Both Thicke and McCarthy guessed it right, but Scherzinger thought it was Monica, and Jeong guessed Alicia Keys.

[Taylor] was on "My Super Sweet 16."

When Cannon asked Taylor why she decided to be on the show, she explained that she knew singing with nobody judging would make things fun again.

Taylor confessed to crying while performing "Lost Without U" because the tune was close to her heart. She also thanked everyone for choosing her as the winner, as it was a humbling experience.

Teyana Taylor is an R&B singer from Harlem, New York, who made headlines in 2016 for appearing in Kanye West's "Fade" music video.

However, she had been a musician for years as she signed with Pharrell Williams' record label Star Trak Entertainment in 2007 before joining West's GOOD Music label. Taylor's debut album, "VII," was released in 2014 with positive reviews.
