Where Does Tammy Slaton Live? The ‘1000-LB Sisters’ Star’s $239K Duplex Was Robbed
TLC star Tammy Slaton made headlines after criminals broke into her home and robbed her and her neighbor.
Thieves kicked in the back door of "1000-lb Sisters" stars Amy and Tammy Slaton's $239K duplex and stole furniture, a washer, and a dryer. Authorities revealed the crime happened shortly after the sisters left the property unattended.
Tammy joined a weight rehab program in the fall of 2021 and has not been home for months, and Amy moved to her place with her husband and growing family around the same time. The criminals have not been identified. They also robbed Tammy's next-door neighbor.

TAMMY SLATON'S HEALTH SCARE
Being overweight has been a gift and a curse for the Slaton sisters. While it got them fame through their TLC reality show "1000-lb Sisters," it has also developed health problems.
Tammy's case has been particularly harder. She has gone through two stints in rehab centers and almost passed away. During her time in the facility, she stopped breathing.

Once in the hospital, doctors placed her on a ventilator but were unsure if she would survive. Although Tammy woke up hours later, she needed a tracheotomy — a medical procedure that creates an opening to the windpipe — to ease her breathing.
She returned to the weight-loss facility center after the surgery, where she reportedly shed over 100 pounds in a few weeks. One of Tammy's friends said she supposedly hated her trach, but her health improved so much that she only had to wear it "part-time."
WHERE DOES TAMMY SLATON LIVE?
While Tammy's weight-loss journey is on track, getting robbed must have felt like an emotional setback. Her 1,976 square foot duplex is in Union County in Kentucky.
[Tammy] has exceeded everyone's expectations and is likely to complete treatment earlier.
The property, valued at $239,000, has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Tammy's half of the duplex includes a living room (equipped with a couch, a table, and a TV screen), a small bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.
It is essential to point out that Tammy's frail and deteriorating heath led Amy to live next to Tammy. After marrying Michael Halterman in 2019, welcoming their first son, Gage, in November 2020, and getting pregnant again in late 2021, Amy moved.
DID TAMMY SLATON HAVE WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY?
One of the things that could help Tammy in her weight-loss journey is bariatric surgery. However, she weighed in at 639 pounds and needed to weigh under 400 pounds before going under the knife.
The Doctors' plan for Tammy was simple: she had to stay at the rehab center until August 2022 to shed enough pounds to be eligible for the surgery.
Luckily, she has exceeded everyone's expectations and will likely complete treatment earlier than expected. One of Tammy's friends claimed that her surgery would occur in Atlanta in June 2022.
Amy already underwent bariatric surgery (also known as gastric bypass), but her case was less extreme as she had to go down from 400 to 300 pounds to qualify. Stay strong, Tammy!
