Kate Middleton's Sister Pippa Is Expecting 3rd Baby — Inside Their Sisterhood & Parenting in the Limelight
Kate may be the most senior and the only woman in her family to have married into the English royalty, but she is still close with her sister, Pippa, who is expecting her third child. See how strong the Middleton sisters' bond is, despite leading different lives.
It is strongly believed that the Duchess of Cambridge's background played a role in how she viewed family—to be unified and top priority. This can also be said of the relationship between her and her relatives.
While Kate is committed to running her home and fulfilling her duties as expected from a royal, she remains close to her roots. The royal shares a close bond with her sister, Pippa.

Before becoming part of the monarchy, Kate was "BFFs" with the younger Middleton, and people admired their relationship.
The difference in their ages is only two years, so it was not surprising that they grew up almost like friends, enjoying the same childhood and milestones.
Apart from that, they love each other endlessly, and the sisters have shown support to each other in trying times while being available to savor the sweet moments in their individual lives.

Even Kate and Prince William, who have one of the most distinct love stories in the royal family—they met during their younger years and have since stuck together like two peas in a pod—needed Pippa's intervention.
In 2007, when the lovers separated, the younger Middleton stepped in to comfort her devastated sister, helping her regain confidence. According to a source:
"Pippa reportedly encouraged her sister to get out and hit the town, distracting her from the devastating break up."

Apart from experiencing life on a different level, Kate was grateful because it made her understand her strength as a person. The Duchess admitted that:
"I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger, and I really valued that time for me as well, although I didn't think it at the time."

Fortunately, it also rekindled their bond, and the couple soon wedded, with Pippa as her sister's maid of honor.
Following Kate's progress, the sisters maintained their closeness and have always spoken kind words about each other.
Although Kate has been the most talked about, with her life under scrutiny owing to her status as future Queen, her sister's lifestyle is also full of intrigues; now and then, she makes it to the headlines.

The profound reason Pippa became popular was because of her sister. While Kate is the more reserved one, Pippa is a lady of gregarious character. So it was not shocking to see that she eventually gained attention.
The younger Middleton, a writer, stumbled upon fame after attending her sister's wedding in 2011, all because of her body-hugging bridesmaid dress that was supposed to blend in.
Following the sudden flip—her name was plastered on several tabloids for nearly outshining the star of the day.

Pippa's ivory Alexander McQueen-designed piece became responsible for lending her recommendations as a party planner.
Three years later, she revealed her side of the story. Kate's sister explained that every family member had defined roles, from her dad to her brother.

As a result, everything was expected to run smoothly, including her rocking the stunning dress and going unnoticed. Pippa added:
"It was completely unexpected. You know, I think the plan was not really for it to be a significant dress. Really to sort of blend in with the train."
Despite slightly stealing the show, the sisters remained unified as ever, and six years later, on Pippa's wedding day, Kate repaid the favor by guaranteeing that the bride's lengthy train was in great hands.

Pippa married into a notable family, and thankfully, her husband, James Matthews, the eldest son, is living up to the expectations.
Matthews was a former professional motorist whose love for the sport stirred him to engage in numerous car racing events in Britain.
Once he closed that chapter, he became involved in finance, heading an investment advisory firm known as "Eden Rock Capital Management."

The Matthews family are also successful business people, owning property, enterprises, and titles. Their first son will inherit the Scottish title "Laird of Glen Affric," showing that they are in charge of all property in Glen Affric.
Despite having big shoes to fill, Matthews appears to be doing great as a father, especially since he is united with Pippa, a hands-on mother.
The writer's journey to motherhood began in 2018 when she welcomed her son, Arthur Michael, in St. Mary's Hospital, Lindo Wing, where Kate gave birth.

She maintained the privacy of the baby's arrival but also scripted short details about her first pregnancy in her former Waitrose Magazine fitness column.
Pippa, obsessed with fitness, was excited that her body could suck it all in without getting sick, so she was consistent with her exercise routines and ended up with seamless delivery.
Baby number two came in 2021. During her second pregnancy, the younger Middleton remained quiet and was seen only a few times in public.

Thankfully, mother and child recovered in no time. The couple named their daughter Grace Elizabeth.
She became the Middletons' fifth grandchild, joining her older brother and Kate's three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

It may be tough fulfilling duties to the Crown or working closely with a finance expert while writing, but the women have constantly kept in touch, not letting their progress in life or status deter them.
Pippa revealed she has a normal sister relationship with Kate, and they are ever willing to answer each other when the need arises.
Aside from the professional aspects of their lives, these women have been saddled with parenting, which is no doubt consuming.

Still, they have developed a routine to parent effectively while enjoying personal time and are doing just fine. According to Pippa:
"Being active with my 2.5-year-old son in the park or playground, transporting him on the back of my bike, and buggy running when he was a baby have been ways in which I have been able to include outdoor exercise whilst being a hands-on mummy."
Kate, who has an even more overwhelming duty of parenting her kids, who will continue to be under the prying eyes of the media, has created a vocabulary that helps calm them even when facing a large crowd.
