To fans' delight, "Squid Game" is officially returning to Netflix. The streaming service announced the beloved South Korean series' second season on June 12, 2022.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SEONG GI-HUN'S DAUGHTER?

The protagonist Seong Gi-Hun has a daughter Ga-yeong. Due to money issues, he finds it challenging to visit his daughter, with who he has a strained relationship.

So, at the end of season one of "Squid Game" and the possible end of the series, he walks to the plane, finally able to visit his child residing in the United States.

Suddenly, he turns back and walks toward the camera. This massive twist hinted that there would likely be a second season. Dong-hyuk commented that they were not sure if they should have let their protagonist step on the flight after all, saying to EW:

"We constantly asked ourselves, is it really right for Gi-hun to make the decision to leave and go see his family, to pursue his own happiness?"

Ultimately, this creator felt they made the correct choice for the series because it is in line with the show's message. He said, "The question that we want to answer — why has the world come to what it is now?"

WHO PLAYS SEONG GI-HUN?

The protagonist Gi-hun is played by Jung-Jae Lee. Lee made his screen debut in 1993 when he played a role in his first movie. However, it was only in 1998 when he found himself acting in "An Affair" by E-J Yong – an award-winning production.

He then received Best Actor for "City of the Rising Sun" at the Chungryong Awards ceremony. Beyond his on-screen performances, he works as a fashion model, gaining significant success in this field.

We wait with bated breath to see what happens in the second season of "Squid Game." But, we face a different type of question for an upcoming popular movie series – "Fantastic Beasts 4."

The question does not involve the character or plot but rather if a core actor from the magical universe who is embroiled in a scandal will be returning. This time, it's Ezra Miller who is facing another legal allegation involving a minor.
