Josh Brolin has walked down the aisle three times. His spouses, all in the entertainment industry, were Diane Lane and Alice Adair. In 2016, he married his personal assistant, Kathryn Boyd.

Josh Brolin was quick to think on his feet when an actor had a last-minute no-show for an interview. Instead, he became the subject of the show and interviewed himself.

In particular, he talked about being a parent to two toddlers, ages three and one. As a 54-year-old father, dad jokes are Brolin's forte, as seen on his Instagram page.

In one post, he shared a glimpse of his potty training session with Westlyn, which turned into method acting. He wrote in the caption, alongside a photo of him sitting on a pink training toilet:

"There's nothing like the power of example."

Brolin, thrice-married, first walked down the aisle in 1988 to marry Alica Adair. She was also an actress known for "Szuler," "Quantum Leap," and "Beverly Hills Cop II." The couple had two children, Trevor and Eden, who they raised together even after separating.

In 2002, Brolin started dating another actress, Diane Lane. After two years together, the couple tied the knot in 2004.

It only took a few months before the couple became subject to controversy, including the actor being arrested for domestic abuse charges. According to a local police officer, Lane accused her spouse of physical abuse.

A spokeswoman later revealed that the fight was a misunderstanding and that the actress "did not want to press charges and asked them not to arrest him."

The couple eventually amicably divorced in 2013. "It just wasn't attainable," Brolin later said of his relationship. "In that hero mentality, you get exhausted, and then when you get exhausted, you get resentful," Brolin said, as reported by The List.

Trevor, pursued an acting career and has appeared in "X," "All Kids Count," and "Felt."

Not long after his divorce, Brolin met his third wife, Kathryn Boyd, who worked as his personal assistant. She also took a job as a production assistant for "The Watch," "Everest," "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," and "Oldboy."

Although they are nearly 20 years apart in age, the couple tied the knot in 2016 and expanded their family. In 2018, Boyd gave birth to Westlyn Reign, followed by Chapel Grace two years later.

Aside from his toddlers, Brolin is a father to two adults. His eldest son, Trevor, pursued an acting career and has appeared in "X," "All Kids Count," and "Felt." He also worked behind the scenes as a producer, writer, director, and cinematographer.

Eden also followed in her father's footsteps and starred in "Beyond" and "I Dream Too Much," "Arkansas," "Emerald City," and "Yellowstone."

It is common for celebrity kids to follow the same career path as their parents, including some of Victoria Beckham's children, who are becoming singers and fashion enthusiasts.
