Not only is Dick Van Dyke still alive, but he is also as energetic and hilarious as ever. He married a much-younger woman and revealed the secret to staying young and active.

Born in Missouri on December 13, 1925, Dick Van Dyke has worked in the entertainment industry since the late 1950s. However, his career skyrocketed after appearing in the musical "Bye-Bye Birdie," a project that won him a Tony Award.

He reprised his role in the 1963's film adaptation and kept himself busy landing parts in "Mary Poppins," "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," and the "Dick Van Dyke Show."

Even though Van Dyke is 96 years old, he is still getting acting gigs. In 2018, he reprised Mr. Dawes Jr. in "Mary Poppins Returns," starring Emily Blunt.

Two years later, he voiced over a character in Jim Carrey's "Kidding." Van Dyke was also announced as part of the "Capture the Flag" cast alongside Barry Corbin, John Amos, and a few other Hollywood stars.

Van Dyke's acting career might still be making headlines, but it is only one aspect of his life. On June 20, 2022, he had lunch with a friend in Los Angeles, and his upbeat mood drew all the attention.

A week earlier, fans asked him if he had special plans for Father's Day, and Van Dyke joked that he was glad to be still alive.

On Valentine's Day 2022, Van Dyke and his decades-younger wife, Arlene Silver, surprised everyone by uploading to YouTube their cover of "Everybody Loves a Lover." Scroll down to watch the clip.

The three-minute video shows Silver and Van Dyke singing and dancing to the song that catapulted Doris Day's career in 1958, while the trio Vantastix provided background vocals and Tony Guerrero played the trumpet.

Marrying his wife was one of the most intelligent decisions ever.

Watching Van Dyke dance and have fun with his wife at 96 is remarkable, and he once said he could do all that because of his good genes and active lifestyle.

The Hollywood legend explained he had always worked out. When he was 93, he used to go to the gym thrice a week to lift weights, walk on the treadmill, and get in the pool to do water aerobics.

Van Dyke added that at his age, he needed to keep moving. He joked that if someone put him on solid ground, he would start tapping.

Speaking of Arlene Silver, she is a producer and former makeup artist. She met Van Dyke at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2007, where she worked as a makeup artist, and he presented Julie Andrews with a lifetime achievement award.

Even though Silver is 46 years younger than the "Diagnosis: Murder" star, they tied the knot in 2012. Van Dyke admitted that marrying his wife was one of the most intelligent decisions ever.

He explained that Silver made him happy and was mature for her age, which perfectly fit his immature personality. "It's just about right!" added Van Dyke. What a lovely couple!
