American television personality Joy-Anna Duggar and her home builder and pilot husband, Austin Forsyth, have been married since May 2017. Here is a look inside the relationship, marriage, and parenting style of the couple known for the reality show "Counting On."

For months, Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband Austin Forsyth have been the subject of pregnancy rumors as fans think she was spotting a baby bump in a now-deleted Instagram picture.

In the photo, the television personality tried to get something on top of the shelf with her right hand. Her left hand rested on her stomach in what looked like a baby bump. The image had fans speculating how far along her pregnancy had gone.

The rumors of baby number three for the couple have been going on for months. Fans believed that one of their friends had already accidentally hinted that their third baby was on the way.

The rumors of Duggar's pregnancy started in October 2021 and continued until June 2022. However, the couple has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.

Duggar and Forsyth grew up as friends and had known each other for 15 years before marriage. They met when Forsyth's family moved to Arkansas and started attending the same church as the Duggar family.

Forsyth had admired her for years, and when it was time to take their friendship to the next level, he had to ask her father for permission to court her as it was the tradition of the Duggar family.

Courtship for the Duggar family meant a monitored dating, prohibiting most physical contact except for holding hands and side hugs. After announcing their courtship in November 2016, they got engaged in March 2017 and married on May 26, 2017.

"I was a pretty patient person until I had kids!"

On their fifth wedding anniversary, Duggar took to her Instagram to reveal that they had dated for seven years, which confused their fans as her family is strict fundamentalists. As a rule, there is a short courting period before marriage.

The couple's wedding was initially scheduled for October 28, 2017, but they moved it up by five months and ended up officially tying the knot in front of 1,000 guests at their church. After their wedding, Duggar said:

"Saying our vows and saying 'I do' and committing our lives to each other is so incredible. I am so blessed to be married to him."

Forsyth said he was looking forward to sharing his life, its good time and challenges, with his best friend. In February 2018, they welcomed their son Gideon, and in June 2019, Duggar suffered a miscarriage of their second child, Annabell Elise.

On August 21, 2020, the couple welcomed another daughter, Evelyn Mae. They waited until she was born before they settled for a name. Duggar said:

"We had a hard time deciding, but after a few days finally settled on 'Evy Mae,' and we think it fits her perfectly!"

In February 2022, Duggar revealed that their son was falling a little behind in areas of communication and comprehension. After an evaluation with the Regional Therapy Services, the couple learned that their son had many strengths in his developmental abilities.

JOY-ANNA DUGGAR IS HONEST ABOUT THE CHALLENGES OF PARENTING

Duggar revealed that she struggles with parenthood because it requires patience. She learned that her responses could affect her children. She said:

"Learning patience in parenting isn't easy for me... honestly, I thought I was a pretty patient person until I had kids!"

Duggar admitted that getting angry and yelling at her kids is never the correct answer, and as soon as she finds things going wrong, she strives to do better for them. After her reveal, fans praised her for her honesty while telling her that every day was a learning experience.
