Carson Daly & His Wife Sleep Apart for 2 Years after Sacrificing Sharing a Bed When She Was Pregnant
Carson Daly is the cheerful face that greets you on every episode of the beloved television show, "The Voice." Behind the cameras, the host has a beautiful family, but one of their unique relationship dynamics might surprise you.
Carson Daly made a name for himself in show business by securing gigs on various projects, including MTV's "TRL" and "Last Call with Carson Daly." He dated acclaimed stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ashlee Simpson, and Tara Reid, to whom he was engaged.
However, the host eventually settled down with food blogger Siri Pinter. The sweet couple made headlines after revealing a unique detail about their personal lives.

LOVE WITH A "REGULAR PERSON" LASTED FOR 17 YEARS
Pinter is the daughter of an actor, and she has done some behind-the-scenes work on TV. However, by all accounts, she isn't a high-profile starlet like some of Carson's previous partners.
The host has been with Pinter for nearly two decades, and they have four precious kids, Jackson James, Etta Jones, London Rose, and Goldie Patricia.
The happy couple met in 2005 when Pinter worked as a writer's assistant for one of Carson's late-night shows. The TV host recalled the memorable moment Pinter caught his eye and stated:
"She would walk into our meetings and I would look at the other dudes in the room, like, 'Do you see what I see?' It was undeniable."
The couple fell in love and quickly realized their romance was severe. They tried to keep their office love affair a secret from their fellow employees but eventually realized it was time to share the good news.
Carson revealed one of the reasons he was drawn to Pinter, and it made her stand out from all of the women he had dated before. He shared:
"I realized I'd have more in common with a regular person than with a celebrity. There were values I was more likely to find in a nice, Midwestern girl than one who was living on the coast, pursuing fame."
CARSON IS AFRAID TO LOVE HIS KIDS TOO MUCH
Carson is a doting dad and enjoys spending time with his beloved family. However, he shared a surprising revelation in connection to his kids. The host noted that he had fears about showing his children too much love.
He explained that his mother poured limitless affection into him. When she passed away in 2017, it devastated him. Carson said:
"My parents were overly proud. I sometimes try to love my kids less, almost on purpose because I’m so scared of loving them too much."
The TV host knew that love was one of the greatest gifts a parent could give their little ones, but he had a new opinion after his mom's death.
Carson was still "reeling" over the loss a year after his mother's passing, and the pain scared him. He didn't want his kids to experience the same feelings. He added:
"I find myself falling in love with my kids and I almost want to put a little bit of a guard there out of fear."
Spending time with his children is high on the TV host's list of priorities, and it is also something he looks forward to every day. The family of six goes on regular outings, and their happiness is evident.
In 2022, the Daly crew attended a hockey game between the Rangers and the Islanders in New York City's Madison Square Garden. Presenters also gave the family a shoutout, and they were delighted.
CARSON REFUSED TO SLEEP WITH HIS PREGNANT WIFE
Carson and his wife are in a happy marriage, but they made an unusual decision when Pinter was pregnant with their fourth child in 2020. They opted to sleep in separate bedrooms, which has done wonders for them and their relationship.
The TV host added that he might never sleep next to his spouse again. He explained:
"I was served my sleep-divorce papers a few years ago. It’s the best thing that ever happened to us. We both, admittedly, slept better apart."

Carson shared another unusual sleeping routine, the "Scandinavian sleep method." The slumber time technique dictates that couples can share the same bed, but with one significant difference — each person has their own blanket.
The TV host believed the method deserved recognition, and he noted:
"You have your own comforters or duvets. Studies have actually found that sleeping with the same blanket can result in more interrupted sleep, as much as 30%."
Carson didn't believe in accepting interrupted sleep patterns, mainly because it was detrimental to one's health. Before choosing to sleep apart, Carson and his wife had a terrible time settling down for the night.
The host recalled Pinter's discomfort and shared that they were like the people in a commercial who struggled to sleep from all the kicking and commotion — one of the reasons for their nighttime struggles was Carson's sleep apnea.
The TV host used a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) mask to alleviate his issues. It was loud and hindered Pinter's time of much-needed rest.

The decision to spend their time in dreamland apart was born out of necessity. During Pinter's third trimester, the duo didn't fit into their bed comfortably, so they made what seemed to them like a practical move.
Carson noted that there was no lack of love between him and his wife. He said:
"We don't want to sleep apart, but we have now, and I think secretly we're both like, 'This is kinda cool' because you get command of the whole room."
The couple has prioritized sleep and comically stated that "irreconcilable sleeping" was the reason for their "sleep divorce." Acclaimed medical professional Dr. Mehmet Oz also affirmed their actions and added:
"If you're not taking care of your sleep, you're hurting your marriage."
While sleeping apart might not be for all couples, and many people might have opposing views, it works for the Daly duo. They revealed that their marriage had benefited immensely from their unique nightly routine, and they have no regrets.
