SHARING HER STORY
In March 2022, Kirsten Morgan, a poet by profession, took to her TikTok to share a very personal and heartwrenching account of how the person she once loved turned out to be the one who broke her trust.
In addition to functioning with a broken heart, Morgan said she had to fight her fiancé for her house because he wanted to sell it.
She posted a three-part video thread in response to the comments that a few TikTokers eager to hear her story had left for her. Morgan started by explaining that she and her fiancé started dating in 2014, got engaged in March 2017, and were set to wed on September 30, 2017.

CONFRONTING HER FIANCÉ
The TikToker said she didn't feel right about things as the days passed and she neared her wedding. Morgan recalled:
"We had been hanging out a lot with his co-workers and something just wasn't right with this one girl that he worked with, they were really close."
The poet noted that when she asked her soon-to-be husband if something was going on between him and his co-worker, he called her "crazy" and claimed they were only working colleagues.

"SOMETHING WASN'T RIGHT"
However, Morgan said she couldn't shake off her suspicions. She noted how her partner told her they should postpone the wedding because she didn't trust him enough. Consequently, they called off the wedding.
The TikToker described that her life was falling apart, and when she discussed things with her loved ones, they told her nothing was going on. "Something wasn't right. I just felt it — I knew," expressed Morgan while looking back on the incident.
After the wedding was postponed, Morgan became "anxiety-ridden." But, heeding her family and friends' advice, she decided to stay with her fiancé and work on building trust. Everything changed when she stumbled upon something extremely shocking five days later.

A HEARTBREAKING DISCOVERY
On the day which was originally meant to be their wedding day, Morgan opened the main door of the house that she said she had bought for her and her fiancé. "He was living in [the house], and I was living with my parents until we got married," explained Morgan.
The TikToker said she was taken aback when she saw her fiancé naked. She further added:
"He's like, 'why are you here, what are you doing here'... and I look down and see some boots, some women's boots on the floor and I immediately knew it was that girl.'"
HURT BUT RELIEVED
Morgan revealed that she ran into her fiancé's co-worker in one of the bedrooms while she was getting dressed. But that wasn't all. She said she also found a budget that they had prepared for their future life together.
The poet explained that she was 25 at the time and a little naïve, so she called the cops and told them there was an intruder in her house. After dealing with the police, Morgan said she confronted the woman who confessed she was in love with her fiancé and was leaving her husband for him.
Later, Morgan learned that her fiancé and his co-worker had been together for several months, and while she felt angry and hurt, she was also relieved. She said she had started to believe that maybe she was going insane, but in reality, her partner was the one lying and cheating.
"A DARK SEASON"
In addition to functioning with a broken heart, Morgan said she had to fight her fiancé for her house because he wanted to sell it. She stated that her fiancé's co-worker went back to her husband, and he (the fiancé) brought another of his working colleagues into the house a few weeks later.
Morgan admitted she was taken aback by her fiancé's move because his new colleague brought along her mom and their dog and treated the place like they owned it. Calling it "a dark season," the TikToker said it took her a long time to bounce back and navigate life. She added:
"333 days later, I was free. And we celebrated. I went to counseling. I've navigated and done a lot of reading and worked on a lot of healing."
CHANNELING HER PAIN INTO WRITING
Through it all, Morgan said she went through a lot of trauma and pain and even had to sell her wedding ring to pay for the attorney. But the poet said she drew strength and healing from her painful experience and repurposed it into her writing.
While it was an incredibly trying phase of her life and one that brought Morgan to tears as she narrated the story for her followers, the writer shared that she's now doing well in life and has learned from her experience.
Morgan has 225K followers on TikTok, many of whom shared messages of encouragement and support for her. One person wrote: "You are an amazing woman! Never be ashamed of who you've become. You have now found yourself, girl!! Amazing!!"
Another user commented: "[You are] a very strong person for sharing this information with everyone. I hope it helps you heal."
