Blake Anderson Hanley: All about Emily Wickersham’s Ex-husband and His Life after Their Divorce

Emily Wickersham rose to prominence after appearing on the popular TV show "NCIS." Despite having a flourishing acting career, her personal life is far from ideal. Like many celebrities, her love life has not been as smooth-sailing.

Emily Wickersham, who played Special Agent Eleanor Bishop on the CBS show "NCIS," has become a fan favorite. Even though she has already left the program, people continue to love her outstanding character.

In the series, she married and divorced her husband because of infidelity. As it turns out, real-life frequently mirrors fiction, as the TV actress divorced Blake Anderson Hanley.

WHO IS BLAKE ANDERSON HENLY, EMILY WICKERMAN'S EX-HUSBAND?

Hanley is the lead singer for the indie rock band Ghost Lion, best known for the famous song "Wrong Guy." Though he has achieved widespread recognition as a vocalist, he doesn't seem to share his fellow artists' enthusiasm for social media.

It's unknown when and where Hanley and Wickerman met, but they married in November 2010 in the Florida Keyes on Little Palm Island. The reception was hosted at the Bath and Tennis Club.

Like Wickerman's character in "NCIS," she did not have a happy love ending. After eight years of marriage, the 38-year-old actress and her musician husband divorced in December 2018.

Hanley, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida, performed at SunFest, South Florida's famed music event, a year after his marriage fell apart. He seemed to have hinted at his post-divorce life in a previous interview with a CBS affiliate, saying:

"It's been a year with all I've been through... it's been a trip."

Not only did Hanley have a successful music career with his band Ghost Lion, but he also maintained a professional pursuit. He is a domestic violence lawyer with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County.

Hanley and Wickerman have a reputation for keeping their relationship hidden. The reason for their divorce remains unknown because the former couple never discussed their divorce publicly.

Following his divorce from Wickerman, Hanley relocated to Florida after spending a decade in Los Angeles with his ex-wife. When he returned to Florida, the heartthrob musician stated:

"Coming home after such a long time, it felt odd. I had gone through a lot of heartbreak."

Hanley's music evolved when he went back to his hometown. He has performed in public the songs he wrote at home. He said that many of his songs are about coming out of hiding.

While he was happy to be performing his songs for the audience, Hanley admitted that he still struggles with his previous heartbreak every time he goes on stage.

After Hanley overcame his heartbreak, he was given a second opportunity at romantic happiness. He met and fell in love with Mumbi O'Brien, a passionate storyteller who loves art and film.

O'Brien is pursuing a career in the arts. After getting her painting degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, she is presently in her third and final year of her Masters in Costume Design at UCLA.

Hanley and his girlfriend are now proud parents with the birth of their first daughter, Muoni. Hanley, now a father, penned a sweet note to his child about how delighted he was to share his and O'Brien's love story.

In his lengthy Instagram post, Hanley revealed that O'Brien discovered she was pregnant just before she traveled to Los Angeles for her master's degree. He added that their daughter was born during the pandemic.

Hanley has taken to social media to show his affection for his new family. He shared beautiful photos of him and O'Brien sitting on the beach and another snap of his partner cradling their darling daughter.

The proud father also penned another heartwarming message on his daughter's first birthday. He expressed his affection for the little girl and joked they could create a family band one day.

DOES EMILY WICKERSHAM HAVE A NEW BOYFRIEND?

Like Hanely, Wickersham has clearly moved on and has achieved her own happy ending. She is now dating James Badge Dale, an actor best known for several films, including "The Departed," "World War Z," and "13 Hours."

He also starred with actor Robert Downey Jr. in the hit Marvel movie "Iron Man 3." Dale's other acting credits are "The Lord of the Flies," "The Empty Man," and "Spectral."

Dale was born in New York City on May 1, 1978, to a family of brilliant performers. Both his mom Anita and dad Grove started out as Broadway performers and dancers before transitioning into choreography.

Dale played hockey in high school and college. After finishing high school, The 44-year-old actor continued his study at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.

Several fans of Wickersham were totally surprised when Dale posted on Instagram a picture of the actress looking heavily pregnant last year.

The pair eventually welcomed their first son, Cassius, on December 30, 2021. Wickerman announced her son's birth on social media, gushing, "You are more than @jamesbadgedale and I could ever have imagined."

Wickersham and her handsome boyfriend seem to be relishing their new role as parents. The actress recently marked her first Father's Day with him by sharing a cute photo of their little family on the beach.

Now settling into different relationships, Wickersham and Hanley seem to have found what they were looking for in life. This goes to show that happy endings do exist!
