Jean Muggli: Everything We Know about Michael Strahan’s Ex-wife
Jean Muggli became famous when she married the former American professional defensive football player Michael Strahan. However, their relationship did not last, and they went their separate ways.
When Jean Muggli married ex-NFL star and national TV show host Michael Strahan, she became his second wife and then became the mother of two children. During their divorce, she was also involved in a scandal that made the news.

Before becoming a top-ranking sports broadcaster, the seven-time Pro-Bowler had a spectacular NFL career and early retirement in 2008, two years after his divorce.
Strahan's wedding to Muggli happened when he was a pro athlete for the Giants, and their union lasted for only seven years. After their bitter divorce, there is very little information about her.
WHO IS JEAN MUGGLI?
Muggli was born in Carson, North Dakota, on November 30, 1964. She was born to Anthony Alphonse Muggli and Mary Banning though her father died on October 25, 2000, at his home. He was only 67.
She was not an only child; she had three brothers and three sisters. According to her father's obituary, her siblings are Timmy, CarolLee, Scott, Cindy, David, and Denise.
While there is little information about her upbringing, Muggli attended various schools. According to her Facebook page, she attended Carson High School, North Dakota State University, Moorehead State University, University of Oxford, and Mary College, Bismarck, North Dakota.
She was reportedly the former manager of a cosmetics store in New York City and is the President and Domestic Engineer at Strahan Family INC. Still, nothing is known about her current occupation.
Based on the pictures she posts on her Facebook, Muggli, who moved to Sycamore Bend Plantation in 2015, loves to ride horses, owns them, and so do her kids. She is also an activist against animal abuse.
JEAN MUGGLI AND HER RELATIONSHIP WITH MICHAEL STRAHAN
Shortly after his 1996 divorce, Strahan met Muggli, a salon employee. It was love at first sight for him, making him visit her salon almost daily to buy lotions and soaps he did not need. Muggli said:
"I figured either he was the cleanest man on the planet, or he wanted to ask me out. I was not into athletes, but I learned very fast that he is not your typical macho kind of athlete."
His dedication paid off, and they married in 1999. Things were going well for a while, with Strahan crediting Muggli as his rock as she took care of everything, including himself.

It shocked some people, even their neighbors when they filed for divorce. Their then-neighbor Dorothea Frank said:
"No one's as surprised as we are. I never thought there was a piece of trouble anywhere. We were shocked. You just don't know your neighbors when you think you know your neighbors."
Their divorce became messy because of a disputed pre-nuptial agreement signed by both when they married. Muggli said she owed half Strahan's assets and sought $14 million.

When they finalized their divorce in 2006, the judge awarded Muggli $15.3 million, and Strahan had to pay $18,000 per month in child support for their daughters.
After she received half of the divorce settlement, his lawyers obtained a stay on his payment of the remaining half, forcing Muggli to put up their former 30-room Montclair mansion at auction.
Years after their divorce, Strahan revealed that it was hard, and having it play out in the tabloids did not make it easier. He said:
"I didn't want to say anything or fight back to the papers because that fed more into it."
He also did not want to say things that his daughters would google and see in the future. However, it was one of the worst and best things that happened to him because he got to the point where he no longer cared what people said.
JEAN MUGGLI IS A MOTHER OF TWIN GIRLS
Muggli and Strahan welcomed their twin daughters, Isabella and Sophia, in 2004. Their half-siblings with Tanita and Michael Jr. from Strahan's first marriage to Wanda Hutchins. He revealed that they are close. Strahan said:
"You worry how the kids will mix and blend, but brothers and sisters are brothers and sisters regardless of different mothers."
Despite their divorce, Strahan has a great relationship with his twin daughters. He even said they once interviewed Michelle Obama for "Good Morning America."
The interview at the Kids State dinner was their first-ever interview, and the girls were excited about the opportunity and being at the White House. Strahan said:
"The twins live a crazy life. One time they flew out to D.C. and interviewed the First Lady for GMA. Then the next day their mom was sending me a video of them riding horses and splashing around in a muddy corn field."
In April 2022, the proud father revealed that one of his 17-year-old twin daughters, Isabella, made her runway debut for Sherri Hill. The girls who had shown their potential for the entertainment industry also love to pose together for photos.
WHY WAS JEAN MUGGLI ARRESTED?
In 2021, Muggli was arrested for violating an order of protection after her ex-girlfriend, Marianne Ayer, reported her. She was then taken into custody by the New York City police and booked for criminal contempt for allegedly disobeying the no-contact order.
Ayer claimed to have dated Jean Muggli, and after their breakup, Muggli started harassing her. She accused Muggli of several crimes in her filings, including harassment, disorderly conduct, abuse, animal abuse, and even grand larceny.
