Evan Rachel Wood was born on September 7, 1987. The actress comes from a family of actors, with her father being a theatre actor, director, and writer, and her mom is an actress and acting coach. She has two siblings; one of her older brothers is a musician, and the other is an actor.

Evan was in a relationship with English actor and dancer Jamie Bell. Evan and Jamie met in 2005 on the set of Green Day's music video "Wake Me Up When September Ends." They were a couple for about a year before splitting in 2006.

Evan Rachel Wood's son Jack Maftin Bell was born in July 2013. Jamie Bell announced the arrival of their bundle of joy on Twitter. Evan Rachel Wood's son was delivered by candlelight during a home birth in what the actress described as a "psychedelic experience." The "Westworld" actress often shared updates on Twitter during her pregnancy, with one of her tweets asking herself how she could be so excited to see a person she had never met.

That's not all the actress has been open about; she's also expressed how motherhood has changed her life. In 2020, she revealed how busy she had been after giving birth to Jack. She expressed:

"People say, 'What about when the baby goes to sleep?’ But that's when I'm doing laundry, cleaning the house, answering emails. I pretty much always have a stain on my shirt. That's my life!"

Despite all the chaos and busyness, the actress called her baby boy "the love of her life." The star also said she's learning a lot from motherhood, and Jack has taught her a lot about deeper emotions, and her heart grows bigger every day. Evan and Jamie split in 2014, and the "Into the Forest" star admitted that separating was difficult.

Despite their separation, they vowed to love and respect each other while raising their son and remained friends for the sake of Jack. The former couple has made Jack a priority and is co-parenting amicably. Evan said they were doing their best and said their son "always comes first," he's "what matters."

Jamie filed court papers to regain joint custody of Jack after Evan decided to relocate from Los Angeles to Tennessee. Jack's father said the actress claimed she was receiving death threats but that they were not true. He accused the actress of preventing him from having access to his son.

She said being a mother was the reason she opened up about the abuse she suffered, saying she wanted to be an example to her son, and she couldn't be that if she didn't speak up for herself and other people.

Evan Rachel Wood first accused Marilyn of abuse in February 2021 and claimed he abused her for years. She said speaking about it might help heal others, which will bring her "healing as well."
