Emotional King Charles III Sends Love to Harry & Meghan in Moving Speech after Reportedly Banning Her from Seeing Dying Queen
Following Queen Elizabeth II's death, her eldest son King Charles officially addressed Britons in his first national address. Surprisingly, His Majesty mentioned his youngest son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, in his speech amid the ongoing family rift. The Duke of Sussex remains hopeful that they will mend their relationship someday.
King Charles III made his first speech to the nation and the Commonwealth since ascending the throne as the new head of state.
His Majesty grieved the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and said she was exemplary for him and the rest of the Royal Family.

"I speak to you today with feelings of profound sorrow. Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen – my beloved mother – was an inspiration and example to all my family and me," said the King.
His Majesty said the Royal Family is indebted to the Queen for her unconditional love, devotion, teachings, compassion, and for leading by example.
He noted that the monarch lived her life to the fullest, fulfilled her destiny, and "is mourned most deeply in her passing." The King expressed sincere gratitude for the seven decades in which Her Majesty served many nations worldwide.
Royal fans reacted to the speech on Twitter and deemed it "moving" and "emotional." One Twitter user noted that the loss of King Charles's mother is heavy on him and that most people who had lost their moms could relate.
Another social media user said Queen Elizabeth would be missed dearly, "but we believe he will make a wonderful King."
Moreover, since Megxit, there has been bad blood within the Royal Family. As such, King Charles made a rare mention of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex:
"I want to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas."
King Charles said in over a week, Britain would be laying his mother to rest, adding through their time of grief, they would draw strength from the example she led when she was still alive.
People sympathized with King Charles and reacted to him mentioning Prince Harry and Markle. One Twitter user said it was touching that he mentioned the royal couple.
Another stated that it shows that His Majesty is following in the Queen's footsteps by portraying "unconditional love" towards the Sussexes.
However, behind closed doors, there seemed to be some drama before it was "clarified" that Prince Harry would travel alone to Balmoral Castle.
King Charles III Supposedly Warned Prince Harry Not to Bring Markle to Balmoral
When news broke that the royal matriarch's health was declining, the Sussexes were already in England. Harry was at Frogmore Cottage when he reportedly received a call from his father asking him not to bring his wife to Balmoral:
"Charles told Harry that it wasn't right or appropriate for Meghan to be in Balmoral at such a deeply sad time."
According to the source, the prince was informed that his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, was also not going there and that only limited people would be permitted, especially immediate family. The insider emphasized that King Charles "made it very clear" that his daughter-in-law was not welcome.
Sadly, Prince Harry failed to make it on time to Scotland to say his final goodbye to his beloved grandmother. He was the last to arrive and the first to leave the estate.
How Is Prince Harry's Relationship with His Father?
Since Megxit, things have not been the same between the prince and his father. Even so, GBS News host Dan Wootton revealed on Sky News Australia in September 2022 that although King Charles was "not perfect," he allegedly paid for the Sussexes' first trip to California and financially maintained the couple for years.
Despite his volatile relationship with his dad, Prince Harry still has hope for them to heal their broken bond. He acknowledged to media mogul Oprah Winfrey in a 2021 interview that there is significant damage in the father and son relationship but that he was open to repair it.
"Of course, I will always love him, but a lot of hurt has happened. And I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship," he said. The Duke of Sussex added that with time, healing might occur.
