Moms and dads will sacrifice everything for the sake of the ones they love most: their kids. Every parent longs to see their little ones succeed and hopes to provide them with the tools needed to reach for the stars.

Sadly, not all moms and dads have the opportunity to be present when their beloved kids reach their full potential. One mom lived life to the fullest and taught her kids to dream big. Tragically, their time together was cut short.

Making Her Dream a Reality

When Army veteran Brionna Johnson moved from New Jersey to Atlanta, she had big dreams for herself and her family. The mother of three adored her kids, Skylar, Caleb, and Xana. They meant everything to her, and she wanted the best for them.

Her son had a health condition, and Johnson ensured he received helpful treatment. The little family stayed with Johnson's parents while she worked hard to make one of her longtime wishes a reality.

Sadly, while Johnson and her three kids were driving home on a typical Wednesday evening, the unthinkable happened.

She Was an Inspiration

The selfless mom always longed to have her own home. She wanted her kids to have a permanent place to live and make memories. In August 2022, this dream finally became a reality. The 32-year-old mom was over the moon, as were her children.

Johnson bought a townhome in Lithonia, and her mom, Sonya Harris, shared:

"She was so proud, and we were so proud of her."

The young mom wore many hats and was a fighter, never settling for second best. She worked as a bus driver, wrote children's books, started a non-profit organization, and undertook various entrepreneurial ventures.

Their Lives Changed Irrevocably

Johnson was undoubtedly a role model for her kids, and the family was happy and grateful for her. Sadly, while Johnson and her three kids were driving home on a typical Wednesday evening, the unthinkable happened.

A reckless driver struck their vehicle, and the crash was devastating. Firefighters rushed to the scene and rescued the family from the wreck.

Johnson was in critical condition and rushed to the hospital, where doctors tried to save her life. The young mother still had many hopes and goals she wanted to achieve. But more importantly, she still wanted to be a mom to her kids.

She Had a Heart of Gold

Tragically, the mother wouldn't have the chance to see her babies grow up because she passed away at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Upon arrival at the medical facility, the youngest child was unconscious, but doctors managed to perform a miracle and save Xana.

Johnson's mom was heartbroken and couldn't believe her daughter was gone. She shared:

"She honestly, from the day she was born, had a heart of gold, and people just felt it about her."

A Miracle amid the Pain

Harris looked at the positives and the silver lining despite the pain and the trauma. She was grateful her grandbabies were okay, noting: "It was still a miracle that any of the children survived."

Johnson's family devoted their energy to raising funds for the late mom's kids. They hoped it would be possible to pay their home's mortgage so the children would have a place to call home. Harris said:

"[Johnson] worked hard, and that was her goal, to make sure the children were taken care of (sic)."
