The duo tied the knot in 1999 and ended their union in 2004. He later married Charlotte Riley but did not announce their wedding until eight months later due to an accidental slip-up.

Although no longer together, Hardy still has remnant memories of Ward through his tattoos. In total, the actor has three body inks that were dedicated to her.

At the time of their split, there were speculations about Ward and Hardy's divorce, although neither confirmed the real cause of their separation. However, many believed that the actor's addiction played a significant part in driving them apart. He previously spoke about his struggles:

"I went entirely off the rails, and I'm lucky I didn't have some terrible accident or end up in prison or dead – because that's where I was going."

Amidst his addiction, Hardy continued to work on his acting career and debuted in the "Band of Brothers " miniseries." Hardy later left his studies at London's Drama Centre and was cast in "Black Hawk Down" and "Star Trek: Nemesis."

His bout with addiction hit rock bottom at the point he would have given anything to get hold of illegal substances. His issues could have contributed significantly to the decline of his relationship.

It wasn't until several years later that Hardy opened up about his relationship, revealing that Ward felt he did not dedicate enough time to their marriage.

Although no longer together, Hardy still has remnant memories of Ward through his tattoos. In total, the actor has three body inks dedicated to her.

On his left bicep, the "Venom" star has a dragon tattoo that apparently symbolizes Ward, born in the year of the dragon.

He also has a tattoo on the side of his stomach that reads, "Till I die SW," which are Ward's initials. His last tattoo of her can be found on his right bicep, a simple letter "W."

Although the tattoos dedicated to Ward remain on his body, Hardy is in a new and happy relationship with Riley. He also has markings that pay tribute to his current wife, such as her name, "Charlotte," written on his shoulder.

Tom Hardy is a proud father of three children. He shares his first child, Louis Thomas Hardy, with his ex-girlfriend, Rachel Speed, whom he met in 2005. However, they broke up in 2009, a year after welcoming their son.

He found love again with Riley and married her in 2014. The couple welcomed their first child together in 2015 but refused to reveal the baby's name and gender. In 2019, the "Peaky Blinders" star had his second child, whose details were not disclosed to the public.
