Queen Elizabeth II's cause of death has been made public and royal fans have started an online debate regarding how she died. They firmly believe that there is more than meets the eye.

It is the first time the monarch's death certificate has been made public. The certificate contains the sovereign's forenames, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, and her last name, Windsor.
It states her age, 96, residence, Windsor Castle, and marital status as widowed. Princess Royal signed the certification. Under the sovereign's occupation, it says: "Her Majesty The Queen" and lists her time and date of death as "2022 September 8, 1510 hours." Her cause of death was recorded as old age.
Glass was the royal matriarch's doctor for 34 years and was on a routine visit to run a surgery for Balmoral Castle staff when she passed away. He was present when she took her last breath and said her death was "not unexpected."
The GP revealed that he and his team had been worried about the monarch's health for a while. Hence her death did not come as a surprise:
"I have been looking after her for 34 years, and I was there when she died. We have been concerned about the Queen's health for several months. It was expected, and we were quite aware of what was going to happen."
Glass disclosed that Her Majesty's only daughter, Princess Anne, and eldest son, King Charles III, were both by her side till her last breath.
He mentioned that the impact of the Queen's passing was "the same effect of any patient," adding it was saddening at the time, but because of how old she was, it was bound to happen:
"It was upsetting at the time, but because of her age, it was not unexpected, so it was not a shock. She was always very pleasant to me over the years."
Following the release of the death certificate, fans expressed their compassion on social media. One Twitter user felt sorry for the sovereign's other kids, who could not make it on time to be by her side.
"Oh, how sad that only Princess Anne and Prince Charles were the only ones to be by her side. The others were in the air as she passed. They knew and still had to put on brave faces for the media. How very sad," she wrote.
Meanwhile, after the certificate was made public, a lively discussion began. Fans had a lot of questions about the information in the document, or rather, lack of information.
Fans Believe the Royal Family Is Hiding Something
Some fans believe that the death certificate is a "cover-up" and that the Royal Family is hiding something from the public. They demanded to know the actual cause of the Queen's death.
"You can't put old age as the cause of death. Was it heart related or other? It sounds like a bit of a cover-up," one Twitter user commented.
A second social media user concurred, saying, "I don't believe the term 'died of old age'" is befitting as a medical term, adding it sounded "suspicious."
A third individual bluntly said that the death certificate seems fabricated and that it is what the Firm wants people to believe, "no proper cause of death recorded!"
Another person compared the documentation to the Queen Mother's, sharing that hers never stated that she died from "old age."
The user mentioned that the Queen Mother was "older than both Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II," adding the record needs to be "questioned" because certification of death could not be "written" like that because it is flawed and encourages "an ageist society."
The said user received a quick, witty reply from another user who stated: "Apparently the Queen Mother had "extreme old age" as the cause of her death on her death certificate."
Amid the ongoing debate, one fan said others questioned whether the Queen "had cancer," adding it was astounding that she had "lost so much weight" while it has been "said to be old age."
The individual noted that it was evident that the sovereign could not "live without" her beloved husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.
After all the back and forth about the cause of the monarch's death, one person demanded privacy for the Royal Family, adding it was none of their business if she and her mother had "underlying causes." "They were extremely old. Let it go."
Royal Expert Previously Assumed That the Queen 'Died Of Heartbreak'
Per Entertainment Tonight, royal expert Katie Nicholl stated that Her Majesty "ultimately died of a broken heart" because she did not overcome the death of Prince Philip, who departed in April 2021.
Nicholl recalled the moment when the Queen's coffin got lowered "down into the royal vault," saying it was "very powerful" and "very emotional." She explained the significance of the funeral's final moments, stating that it was the sovereign's plan all along to be buried with her husband:
"The Queen had this all worked out because in the same vault, currently lying, is the Duke of Edinburgh's coffin, and they will both be interned together in this private ceremony."
Nicholl revealed that it was the monarch's "wish" for Prince Philip's coffin to be kept in the royal vault until her death because she was aware that she would follow suit, "and she wanted that final journey to be made with Philip by her side."
The Queen of England was laid to rest on September 18, 2022, in a state funeral concluded at Windsor Castle. Her coffin and the Duke's were transported to King George VI's Memorial Chapel following the private ceremony attended only by "immediate family."
Nicholl emphasized that the head of state was "never the same" after her spouse died and that she was ready to be reunited with him when she passed away. The royal couple had been together for 73 years, and the Duke was the Queen's pillar of strength, especially throughout her 70-year reign.
Per the Daily Mail, multiple sources divulged that following Prince Philip's funeral, the royal matriarch was "comforted" by the faith that they would "reunite" one day.
Indeed, the duo did reunite after 18 months of separation. "Now they will be together for an eternity," said royal historian Hugo Vickers.
Days after her burial, the Royal Family released a photo on Instagram showing the ledger stone installed at the King George VI Memorial Chapel following the Queen's interment. The stone is engraved with her name, including the names of her late father, King George VI, mother, Queen Elizabeth, and husband, Prince Philip.
