Sadie Was Born in 2011

Applegate and her husband, Dutch musician Martyn LeNoble, became parents on January 27, 2011, after the birth of their daughter, Sadie, in Los Angeles. The announcement was made through the couple's representative.

Sadie has been a vegetarian from her childhood.

At the time of the announcement, both mother and daughter were said to be doing well. The parents were very happy about welcoming their baby girl and were in love with her.

Sadie's Mother Tries to Spend a Lot of Time With Her

About four years after Sadie was born, her mother decided to become a full-time mom. She did this so that she could entirely focus on raising her daughter. During an interview with "Today," she revealed:

“I’m very fortunate right now to have that freedom to not work. I love being my daughter’s mother and being 24/7 here with her, doing what I need to do, making her meals, taking her to soccer.”

Applegate is fully committed when it comes to raising her daughter. She was fortunate enough to take time away from her acting career and spend some precious time with her daughter.

Sadie Is Vegetarian

Sadie has been a vegetarian since her childhood. Although she was born into a family of vegetarians, her mother says she chose to be a vegetarian herself. They are fully organic in their home and grow their own vegetables.

Sadie and her family have had to be extra cautious about their eating. This is due to the history of cancer that runs through her mother's side of the family. Being vegetarian for them is a preventative measure that helps reduce the risks of cancer.

However, her lies are mostly petty and done to persuade her daughter to stop doing something.

Sadie Is Old Enough to Appreciate Disneyland

While being interviewed by Conan O'Brien on TBS, Applegate disclosed that Sadie had recently told her she was now old enough to appreciate Disneyland.

This statement from Sadie came after she had had a terrible experience and was extremely frightened on her first visit to the famous amusement park. She was only two years old at the time, and her first experience at Disneyland that day was Peter Pan's Flight.

Her mother thought she could cure Sadie's fear by taking her on more rides, which only worsened the situation. However, she has grown to appreciate theme parks with age and is no longer as scared as before.

Sadie's Mom Constantly Lies To Her

When asked if she ever lies to Sadie, Christina Applegate jokingly claimed that she lies to her daughter daily, which was part of her parenting style. She said:

"If I was Pinnochio, your eyes would be poked out right now. That's how much I actually have lied to her today."

However, her lies are primarily petty and done to persuade her daughter to stop doing something. For example, Applegate would tell Sadie that if she kept doing what she was doing, the police would come, implying that what she was doing was illegal.

Sadie Is Not a Social Media Child

These days, some celebrity parents such as DJ Khaled and YoungBoy NBA have created social media accounts for their children, especially on Instagram. However, this is not the case for Sadie, as she doesn't have a social media account.

The option to have a sibling got entirely put off the table when in 2017, Sadie's mother had her fallopian tubes and ovaries removed.

Her mother is also not on Instagram but is found on Twitter, her only social media platform. Although Applegate occasionally shares some news about her daughter on Twitter, she rarely posts pictures of Sadie.

Sadie's Parents Feel Too Old to Have More Children

In 2013, Christina Applegate was adamant Sadie would not be getting a sibling because she could not handle the responsibilities of raising a newborn child at her age. At the time of this discussion, Sadie's parents, Applegate and LeNoble, were 41 and 44 years old, respectively, and they already thought they were too old.

The option to have a sibling got taken off the table entirely when in 2017, Sadie's mother had her fallopian tubes and ovaries removed. Like their vegetarianism, it was done to reduce cancer risk.
