Tim Roth's Son Cormac Dies at 25 in 'Arms of His Family' Who Loved & Adored Him

Tim Roth and his family are mourning the loss of Cormac Roth, who died tragically young. The news came on October 31, 2022. However, the young man passed on almost two weeks before the announcement.

In a statement sent to NBC News, Roth shared the news of his son's death, saying he passed away on October 16, 2022. Roth mentioned that his son had lost his battle with cancer, causing his death.

In the statement, Roth talked about his son's battle and where he was when he finally passed away. He

:

"On Sunday, the 16th of October, we lost our beautiful boy Cormac after a courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully in the arms of his family, who loved and adored him. He fought with incredible bravery for the past year and maintained his wicked wit and humor to the very end."

What Happened to Cormac?

Cormac, a musician, first shared the news of his illness in July 2022. However, he had been battling since November 2021. He revealed that he had stage 3 germ cell cancer and was treating it aggressively.

He mentioned that the cancer, called Choriocarcinoma, had been difficult to battle and had stayed a few steps ahead of any treatment he tried to throw at it. He also revealed that it made him lose hearing, weight, and confidence.

He admitted the cancer was on a "murderous path," which would not stop until he could find some way to beat it. Unfortunately, he never found the treatment to rid him of the terrible disease.

Cormac spoke about his experiences battling cancer, saying it hadn't taken his will to survive or his love for writing and playing music. He signed off the post by encouraging followers to embrace life fully. He said:

"Love to you all; please make sure to do the things that you love. Life is short. It is chaos."

What Has Tim Roth's Family Said About Cormac?

A year ago, Roth shared a birthday wish to his son on his birthday. He posted a photo of his son in a birthday hat, accompanied by a caption mentioning that it was the young man's birthday that day.

In August 2022, Cormac shared a video talking about how much he appreciated the support he got from his followers and said that he wanted everyone to do whatever made them happy because life was unpredictable.

After Cormac's death, Roth and his family shared a tribute to him, saying they felt privileged to have 25 years and ten months of memories with him. They also said he had only recently had the chance to turn from a boy into a man.

Aside from their heartache and gratitude over his death and life before it, the family talked about what he was like when he was alive. They called him "an exceptionally gifted and extraordinary musician."

The tribute then said that the family experienced grief in waves, but they also experienced love and laughter in waves. They also said:

"We love him. We will carry him with us wherever we go."

Cormac is survived by his mother and father, Tim Roth and Nikki Butler, and his brother, Hunter Roth.
