Reba McEntire is taking a break from her career due to health issues.

"We've been pretty much inseparable ever since," the country singer said about her relationship with Rex Linn.
On November 2, 2022, Reba McEntire, then 67, announced via Instagram that she was taking some time off from her US tour for health reasons. The star said she'd had to reschedule three concerts that were supposed to happen that same weekend.
She explained how her doctor had advised her to give her vocal cords some rest. The three shows were set to take place in December 2022, and those who'd purchased tickets could see the country singer then.

On December 2, 2022, McEntire would now be performing in Columbus, Ohio, while on the following day, she would be in Raleigh, North Carolina. On December 16, 2022, the songstress would grace the stages of Indianapolis.
In her Instagram post, she thanked her fans for understanding. On November 9, 2022, the artist was set to perform at the Country Music Awards, but it wasn't clear whether she would honor the date.
Besides singing, McEntire also acted and appeared in the third season of ABC's "Big Sky." While the musician would be at home as her vocal cords recovered, she wouldn't be alone.
How Does Rex Linn Support Reba McEntire?
During an October 2021 interview on Today, McEntire explained how she and her current boyfriend, Rex Linn, had known each other since 1991. The songstress said they starred together in "The Gambler" and then stayed in contact.
The star recalled how in 2020, when her mother, who died of cancer, was sick, Linn called her. The pair had seen each other before that call because they both worked on the series "Young Sheldon."
From March 2020, they continued talking and visiting each other until they became romantic. McEntire said they'd been "inseparable ever since" and had started dating seriously during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, their first official date was in January 2021, by going to a movie theater to watch "News of the World." In October 2020, the country music singer described how happy she was being with Linn, stating:
"It's good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what's going on."
She revealed how they discussed their past, families, roles as actors, and funny stories. The actress noted how Linn was into her music and that she was into his career!
McEntire shared how great it was to have someone she found funny, interesting, intelligent, and interested in her too! He was likely the person she would be spending her downtime with as she rested, but fans probably wanted to know whether they should worry about her overall health.
Besides possibly catching the RSV virus, the singer's [Reba McEntire] health had been generally good.
Is Reba McEntire's Health a Concern?
Despite some fans being disappointed about McEntire's shows being postponed to different dates, others were just there to offer her support. One person urged the star to rest because they loved her "beautiful voice" and wanted her to keep it healthy.
While someone else noted how hard it had been for the country musician to put her health first and hoped she would "rest well." Some people were worried about the actress's overall health.
In 2021, McEntire believed she'd caught COVID-19 and encouraged others to stay safe. She explained that catching the coronavirus wasn't fun, but luckily her test came out as a false positive, with her believing she had the RSV virus instead.
Besides possibly catching the RSV virus, the singer's health had been generally good. McEntire remained active and was busy with her career, with nothing showing that she was planning on slowing down.
According to Distractify, needing vocal rest wasn't something serious healthwise. The publication claimed it was something most singers of all ages had to deal with at one point in their music careers.
