Liz Trujillo is the only woman to get Flavor Flav to the alter. The Public Enemy rapper made a career out of being a bachelor in the early 2000s on three seasons of "Flavor of Love" on VH1. He has eight children with four different women.

Before getting hitched, Liz Trujillo watched Flavor Flav search for love and finding lust on reality television for years. Following stints on "Couples Therapy" and "Celebrity Wife Swap," Trujillo has purposefully stayed out of the public eye.

Once he publically ended his bachelor years with a proposal, the clock-wearing rapper apologized to the audience that there won't be more seasons of "Flavor of Love" and said, pointing to Trujillo, "this is the real flavor love right here."

How Liz Trujillo Reacted When Flavor Flav Proposed

At the reunion episode of "Flavor of Love" season three, Flavor Flav said that the best thing a man can do is love the mother of his child. Once she joined him on set with their son Karma in an adorable suit, the serial bachelor introduced her as his love.

With Karma on his lap, Flav said he must have been "bugging out" doing the shows when he had love right under his nose, with Trujillo at home. The reality star promised to quit the dating show as part of his proposal.

"Finally, finally," she said in the affirmative before kissing her fiancé a good few seconds, with their son being lightly squished between them, and promised to be a good wife to him.

Liz Trujillo Did Not Enjoy Briefly Swapping Her Husband for a Rocker

Being a hip-hop wife is hard, but Trujillo quickly learned that the life of a heavy metal star was not for her. Flavor Flav and Twisted Sister's Dee Snider traded significant others for a week in an episode of "Celebrity Wife Swap" in 2012.

One of the producers told TMZ that she had been "acting strange."

Trujillo had a hard time adjusting to the intensity of the Snider household. "This family needs some quiet time," she said in a confessional. The mom was expected to do manual labor and style the Sniders' adult son's hair. The comments on her domestic skills online were not kind.

Flavor Flav's Wife, Liz Trujillo, Remained by His Side Amid His Many Flings

The extent of Trujillo's love for Flav was laid bare on the reality show "Couples Therapy" in 2013. She revealed that he did not tell her before signing the contract for the first two seasons of his dating show.

She has stayed with her man through his infidelities. His most recent public indiscretion was with his assistant, Kate Gammell, with whom he had a child, Jordan, in 2019. Following a lawsuit from her side, Flav is now in Jordan's life. He was pictured with Karma at Jordon's birthday celebration.

After winning seasons one and two of "Flavour of Love," respectively, London 'Deelishis' Charles and Nicole Alexander both had short flings with Flav. The rapper was linked with Tiffany Pollard, the runner-up on the first two seasons of his dating show.

The "Couples Therapy" Schedule Was Hard on Liz Trujillo

Trujillo had to publicly deal with a very personal health issue while on "Couples Therapy" with her then fiancé, Flavor Flav. Her representative said in a July 4, 2013 statement:

"The claim of an overdose, or any involvement of drugs, could not be further from the truth."

One of the producers told TMZ that she had been "acting strange" and had an accidental overdose after taking pills. They insisted that she was not trying to take her own life.

The reality star's rep refuted the show's statement, saying that she was treated for exhaustion at the hospital after being kept awake for hours to shoot "Couples Therapy." The rep accused the producers of blowing the situation out of proportion for ratings.
