When Melissa Gallo, better known to fans as Melissa Fumero, was a teenager, she daydreamed about a handsome man she saw in a music video. She never imagined that she'd meet him, marry him, and have his children one day.

Melissa Fumero's love story with her actor husband, David Fumero, may read like something out of a rom-com script, but it's all true, and it happened in Hollywood.

Handsome David Fumero was born in Havana on December 29, 1972, and moved to the United States with his parents. David joined the Marines when he was just seventeen, and when he left the service, he started attending a community college.

Melissa Fumero revealed on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" that at age thirteen she'd become obsessed with a man featured in Mariah Carey's video of her song, "Honey."

He Never Thought of Being Actor

Even though he was modeling, acting was not on David's horizon until a friend taking acting classes

to come along. David was immediately bitten by the bug and fell in love with acting.

His first role was in the legendary daytime drama "One Life To Live," in which he portrayed Cristian Vega, a character originally played by actor Yorlin Madera. David played Vega from 1998 until 2011.

The actor confessed that his first experience with a fan was unsettling. The fan was a little girl who was so nervous about meeting him that she started shaking. Since "One Life To Live," David has worked on many series such as "Law & Order," "NCIS," "Power," and "Magnum P.I."

Melissa Fumero revealed on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" that at age thirteen, she'd become obsessed with a man featured in Mariah Carey's video of her song, "Honey."

Ten years later, she was dating "One Life To Live" costar David Fumero. After dating for two months, he casually mentioned making the video. Melissa said she excused herself, ran to the bathroom, and "had a quiet freak out." That was the moment she decided to marry David.

1st Baby Was a Surprise

Melissa and David married in December 2007, and after nearly nine happy years together, the actress started to feel odd. She was hungry all the time. She confided:

“I was starving every three hours, no matter what I ate. I could have eaten an entire chicken, and three hours later I was starving, like clockwork. It was weird!”

As it turned out, the sudden hunger was Enzo, the couple's first child whose conception was a big surprise to his mom and dad. Enzo was born on March 24, 2016, and four years later, Melissa and David welcomed their Valentine's Day baby, Axel, born on February 14, 2020.

He Once Appeared in a "Brooklyn 99 Episode"

Melissa and David first met when they costarred in "One Life To Live," but they went on to work together again in the series that gave the actress her breakthrough role,

David guested in Season 5, and he played a crossword puzzle creator involved in a series of arsons that Melissa Fumero's character Amy Santiago has to investigate.
