Steve "Stone Cold" Austin made his professional wrestling debut in 1989 but arrived at the World Championship Wrestling in 1991. Four years later, he made it to the World Wrestling Federation and became a star.

As his professional life blossomed, there were changes in his personal life. He was in and out of relationships and eventually married four women he had dated over time.

While in high school, Austin dated Kathryn Burrhus, and they were together until he graduated from college. They married on November 24, 1990, but they annulled their marriage on August 7, 1992.

Once he began wrestling professionally, he started dating Jean "Lady Blossom" Clarke, his wrestling manager and valet, and they married on December 18, 1992.

For both, it was their second marriage, and she reportedly helped Austin choose his wrestling name. The year before their wedding, she retired to focus more on her family.

Austin and Clarke welcomed two daughters, Stephanie Britt in 1992 and Cassidy Skye in 1996. He also adopted her daughter Jade from a previous relationship with Chris "Gentleman" Adams.

Their marriage was over three years after welcoming their second child. Sixteen months later, he married his third wife, former professional wrestling valet, actress, and occasional wrestler, Debra Marshall.

Two years into his marriage to his third wife, the couple started having issues. On July 22, 2002, he filed for divorce, and they finalized the process on February 5, 2003.

After his third divorce, the retired wrestler did not get married for six years. However, in 2009, he married his fourth wife, Kristin Feres, and there has been no news of a separation or divorce as of this writing.

Two Women Left the Wrestler Amid Lawsuits

Austin's marriage to Marshall experienced turbulence less than two years after their wedding. The first sign of trouble that hit the media was when she called the police to their Texas home on June 15, 2002.

When the police arrived, she complained of domestic abuse, and their reports revealed that she had injuries. One month later, they arrested the retired wrestler with charges of misdemeanor assault.

In court, he pled no contest, and they let him off with one year of probation, a one thousand dollar fine, and 80 hours of community service.

A few years after their divorce, Marshall gave an exclusive interview about what happened in her marriage to Austin and the happenings in the wrestling industry.

She said the abuse she suffered was due to steroid rage, a common occurrence in the industry. Although no one addressed it, the industry never wanted her to go public with such information.

During her interview, Marshall stated that she believed Austin's rage came from taking steroids. She said:

"I have seen the steroid rages. I have seen him being paranoid. I have seen his panic attacks. I mean, for three times, I'd seen him attack me."

She further revealed that her colleagues knew about the abuse as they had seen bruises on her face. However, she also had to keep quiet because no one talked about domestic abuse.

Marshall disclosed that he was under the influence the last time Austin attacked her, and she felt like she would die. She likened her experience to that of the late professional wrestling manager and model Nancy Elizabeth Benoit.

After their divorce, the retired wrestler denied allegations of being an alcoholic, stating that he drank responsibly. However, in his next relationship, domestic abuse allegations surfaced again.

He had started dating actress, glamour model, and media personality Brenda Tess Broussard, and in March 2004, she accused him of abusing her in his home.

Broussard had called the police and reported that the retired wrestler had assaulted her, leading to her sustaining injuries on her wrist. There was photographic evidence from the incident, but they did not arrest Austin.

Barely six months later, things escalated at a Beverly Hills eatery. The model was not only sent to jail, but they charged her with assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident happened on August 4, 2004, with two different versions. The wrestler's side of the story differed from the model's, but it led to his bodyguard being rushed to the emergency room.

Austin disclosed that he invited Broussard to dinner so he could end their toxic relationship. However, she refused his terms during dinner to end the relationship and became furious.

The retired wrestler has constantly credited his fourth wife for positively influencing his life.

When she tried to attack him, his bodyguard got in the way leading to the injuries that sent him to the hospital. The bodyguard restrained her with his handcuff before further damage happened.

Brossard's account of the night's event insinuated that they had set her up, and in her lawsuit against the retired wrestler, she mentioned that it was a fabricated assault.

She recalled the bodyguard trying to restrain her but denied causing him any injury. The model stated that Austin had gone to great lengths to ensure she did not talk to the press about his alcohol and drug abuse.
