The Roloff family made waves with their show "Little People, Big World," where they showed the world what it meant to be a Little Person in a regular-sized world. They quickly stole the hearts of many with their banter and love for one another.
The show saw the Roloff children grow up and take their own paths in life. One of the things the world got to see what Zach Roloff getting married to his love and starting a family with her. However, their journey could have been smoother sailing.
As Little People, the Roloff family has faced many health challenges, which have also extended to Zach's children. Recently, Zach shared an update about his son's recovery after having surgery on his legs.
Zach and his wife, Tori's son, Jackson Kyle, had surgery on his legs last November to correct the bowing that was occurring. The little boy is only five years old, and Zach shared that they had to get him to use a frame to walk after his operation.
In a clip for their show, Jackson is seen walking with his mother's assistance and the frame, but tired, he says:
"I just want to get back on the couch."
Zach said his son was very emotional and tired, which led to him not wanting to walk the day after his surgery. Tori reminded their son that the faster he started moving, the faster he would recover, and then told him they would try walking the next day again.
What Did Zach Say about Jackson's Healing?
Zach took to Instagram on Monday to share a photo of himself and ask his fans what they thought. One fan wanted to know how Jackson was doing and the latest news on his legs.
The reality TV star said he couldn't tell yet if the surgery turned out well because the results only show as the person grows and for Jackson, his growth rate is much lower than the average person.
Another fan asked if Zach and his wife would opt to have surgery done for their daughter, Lilah. Lilah is the only daughter of Zach and Tori; she has strabismus, an issue with her eyes, and is not yet able to communicate effectively.
Zach mentioned that for this reason, they would wait until she could talk better and give them feedback on the tests she had before they decided what they would be doing to help her in the future. Zach, Lilah, and Jackson were all born with the most common form of dwarfism, achondroplasia.
How Does Zach Spend Time With His Kids?
In the same post where Zach asked his fans what they were thinking, one wondered what his favorite thing to do with his children was. He answered that his children were each a different person.
Zach mentioned that he would play soccer when he wanted to bond with his son. However, when it is time to spend time with Lilah, he opts for something she enjoys more, like checking eggs around the farm. Josiah, still an infant, loves to cuddle, which is what Zach does with him.
Josiah was welcomed into the Roloff family in late April 2022. Tori expressed fears that her older children would be jealous but confirmed that they loved their little brother and were affectionate with him.
The little boy was born three weeks early, and his parents confirmed that his siblings were concerned about him and took turns taking care of him. They also said that while more children were unlikely, the idea was not entirely off the table.
