He and Georgina found the answer to survive the tragedy in their kids' eyes.
Famous soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo met his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a Gucci store, where she worked as a saleswoman. A year earlier, the soccer player was in a relationship with Irina Shayk. The two broke up, and he met Georgina in 2016.
Three of the sportsman's five children were born via surrogate. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. was born on June 17, 2010, while twins Eva and Matteo Ronaldo were born in 2017. Cristiano shares his other two children with his soulmate, Georgina. Eva Martina Ronaldo was born on November 12, 2017.

When the soccer star first met his future partner in the store, the two instantly felt an attraction toward each other. The two couldn't speak properly while she was working, but luckily, they saw each other again at a brand event just a few days later.
Cristiano finally had the chance to have more children, and he commented that having children changed him forever. He has learned new things every step of the way, and his perspective on life has evolved. The soccer legend explained:
"It has shown me things about love I never knew existed. It has softened me and given me new perspective on what is really important in life. Becoming a parent and raising my family is honestly the greatest privilege I've had. I'm enjoying every second of it."
Cristiano is also an unbelievably supportive father. His son, Cristiano Jr., seems to be following in his father's footsteps and can't get enough of soccer. That said, his dad never forced him to take up the sport and instead hopes his children pursue their dreams while he supports them however he can.
On the one hand, they wanted to cry, but on the other, they were thrilled their daughter made it home.
In 2021, the sports star and his partner announced another pregnancy. This was the second time Georgina became pregnant, and they were expecting twins. The pregnancy seemed fine, and the couple tweeted, "Our hearts are full of love — we can't wait to meet you."
Along with the one photo, Cristiano posted a picture of him with his other four kids relaxing in a hot tub. He also added an image of him and Georgina lying in bed with a copy of the ultrasound, showing the two little ones growing well.
The Birth of Cristiano's Youngest
The couple waited in anticipation throughout the pregnancy. Cristiano couldn't wait for his newest children to be brought into the world, and even Cristiano Jr. was giddy with excitement. Eventually, Georgina went into labor, and the family could barely keep their excitement in check.
The couple's youngest daughter, Bella, was born without trouble and was healthy and strong. The same could unfortunately not be said about her brother. The young boy, later revealed to be called Angel, didn't survive birth. At first, when only one of the twins arrived back home, he said he experienced a strange mix of emotions:
"I never felt to be happy and sad at the same moment, I never felt. It's hard to explain, so difficult. You don't know if you cry, or you don't know if you smile, because it's something that you don't know how to react. You don't know what to do, to be honest."
The couple had a tough time after the death of their son. On the one hand, they wanted to cry, but on the other, they were thrilled their daughter made it home. Eventually, they took a look at their family and found strength in the newborn Bella. Her presence made a difference. Georgina commented:
"A big piece of my heart shattered, and I asked myself how I could carry on. I had the answer nearer than I thought. I looked into the eyes of my children, and there I saw the only way of doing it: being all together."
So, to survive the travesty of their new baby boy's death, the family united and gave each other strength. Mourning the loss together strengthened their family's bond, and the father said it brought him closer to his kids.
Of course, the dad had to explain to his other children what had happened. They were expecting two new siblings to join them, after all. So, he set to work, starting with Cristiano Jr. The boy took the news reasonably well. The soccer player shared:
"Of course, Cristiano, I had a conversation with him [on] the day. Because he's twelve years old, he knows. He understands everything, and I had a nice conversation with him. We cried together in his bedroom."
The other kids, being much younger than their oldest brother, didn't understand quite as easily. The couple decided to skirt around the truth for a while, but eventually, they explained what happened. So, they brought them all together and said, "Angel went to the heaven." The couple also shared pictures of Bella.
After Cristiano and Georgina explained everything to their children, they were understandably upset. But out of the family's grief, a new tradition was born. They still talk about their little brother, and when they want to commemorate him, they've started pointing to the sky and saying, "I did this for Angel."
