Desiree Gabrielle Dennis-Dylan was a secret for most of her childhood and adolescence. No one knew that her father was the greatest of American songwriters and Nobel Prize laureate, Bob Dylan.

Desiree was born on January 31, 1986, and her parents married in June of the same year. Carolyn was his backup singer, and the marriage endured until 1992. The singer never hinted at the relationship or Desiree's existence in those six years or after.

The iconic folk singer was already the father to five children -- three boys and two girls-- from his first marriage to Sarah Lownds. Not only was his second marriage kept secret, but he wasn't named Desiree's father on her birth certificate.

The wedding was intimate, with around 100 guests, the two brides' families, and friends. Kayla wore a lovely white wedding gown, and Desiree opted for satiny pants topped by a pretty, long-sleeved lacy tunic in traditional white.

During the father of the Bride dance, Kayla took to the floor with her father, and Desiree danced with her ever-supportive mother. Carolyn celebrated her daughter's happiness by singing "Amazing Grace" at the church where the wedding was held.

Neither Desiree, her mother, nor her wife commented on her father's absence, nor was he referred to in any way during the celebration. Some guests didn't know Desiree was the famous Bob Dylan's daughter.
