Morgan's mother is South African model Ruvé Robertson, and his father is actor Neal McDonough. The two met in the United Kingdom in 2000 while Neal was filming the HBO acclaimed series about World War II, "Band of Brothers."
Morgan's parents make sure their children are included in every part of their lives, so fans can often see them at red-carpet events and at premieres.
They met on St. Patrick's day, and it was love at first sight for Neal. The couple started dating and married three years later, on December 1, 2003. They welcomed their first child, Morgan Patrick McDonough, on November 28, 2005.
Young Morgan Is Talented at Sports
Neal and Ruvé call Morgan "Little Buck," and the nickname's origin is fascinating. When he was preparing for the role of First Lieutenant Lynn "Buck" Compton in "Band of Brothers," Neal met the real Compton and was so impressed by the war hero he gave his son the nickname "Little Buck."
According to Neal, "Little Buck" is brave, determined, and a natural sportsman. Dad shared a clip of Morgan reaching a 9-foot hoop at the age of 12 and predicted that his son would one day play for the NBA in the Boston Celtics.
Morgan is also a gifted baseball player. His team won the provincial championship in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, and Morgan was named Most Valuable Player, to his dad's delight.
Morgan's Parents Involve Him in his Father's Job
Morgan's parents make sure their children are included in every part of their lives, so fans can often see them at red-carpet events and premieres. The 2022 movie "Boon," produced by mom and starring dad as a former hitman looking for redemption, became a family project.
The kids were welcome on the set, and Morgan and his siblings actively participated in crafts services and the stunt department. And who knows, Morgan inherited dad's good looks and may become an actor one day.
Family togetherness is a big theme for the McDonoughs, whether dad is speaking to a congregation at the Catholic church they belong to, around the Christmas table, watching Disney on Ice, or at a football game.

Morgan was the first McDonough kid, but he wasn't the last. His dad, one of six children, wanted a
, and his mom wanted two -- so they compromised at five. His sister Catherine Maggie was born in 2007 when Morgan was two.
She was followed by another sister, London Jane, in 2010; then, in 2011, the McDonoughs welcomed yet another girl, Clover Elizabeth. It looked like Morgan and his dad would be badly outnumbered, but in 2014, his little brother James Hamilton was born to balance things out.
Morgan is a devoted big brother, and it will be interesting to see how he develops his gifts as he grows up. He certainly has star quality, and we will be watching for this promising young man at the stadiums and on the big screen.
