Kathleen Cain Dated an Olympian before Blissful Marriage to Will Cain

Will Cain's wife, Kathleen Cain, was his college sweetheart and the mom of his two kids. Although their love story paused for five years, they rekindled their romance and tied the knot later on.

Kathleen Cain is a very private person who is rarely seen on social media, yet many are pretty intrigued to know the wife of American columnist Will Cain.

At very rare times, Kathleen appears on her husband's social media accounts, often to pay tribute to her. Among his posts was a 2015 photo with his wife before they bonded over singing about whiskey, as mentioned in his caption.

Will also gave his wife a shoutout the year before when she joined the TCS New York City Marathon in support of a fight against a horrible disease. "Proud of my wife who ran #TCSNYCMarathon for #TeamDEBRA. Support her & fight the worst disease you've never heard of," he tweeted.

Will and Kathleen's love story began when they were college students, with the columnist attending Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Although they liked each other, their relationship did not last long.

Admittedly, Will was not mature enough. Kathleen eventually moved on to date an Olympic volleyball player, only to have the relationship fail as well. Five years later, Will and Kathleen fell back into each other's arms while in Texas and have been together since. He said:

"Marrying my wife is the best thing I ever accomplished, and it started with a failure."

The proud couple, although living privately, keeps their romance alive by going on dates and vacations, including a trip to Hawaii in 2019. While Will sometimes posts glimpses of their family, he rarely shares information about his wife.

Will and Kathleen are now proud parents to two boys, Charlie and West. Kathleen, who has a private Instagram account, sometimes has posts of her sons that Will reposts on his own Instagram page.

On their twelfth leg of the journey, at the Grand Canyon and Horseshow Bend, Kathleen biked 21 miles uphill in the 100-degree heat.

From the looks of it, Charlie and West have taken an interest in skateboarding. Their doting dad has also tried to turn them into Cowboy fans.

Will Cain's Wife Relishes Life with Her Family

Kathleen adores her children and loves spending time with her family. In 2020, she, her husband, and their kids embarked on a country road trip to see different places. Sharing their vacation on Instagram, Will and his family enjoyed their first stop at the Moundville Archaeological Site in Alabama.

Fifth on their list was the Lubbock to Cheyenne, where Kathleen and her boys had a sweet photo before spray-painted artwork on a vast land.

The family of four also had a selfie in the Black Hills of South Dakota, their sixth stop during the road trip. On their twelfth leg of the journey, at the Grand Canyon and Horseshow Bend, Kathleen biked 21 miles uphill in the 100-degree heat.

It turned out that Kathleen had been practicing through her spin classes and ended up beating her husband on the bike. "She got her money's worth out of all those spin classes," Will said.

The couple's marriage has withstood the test of time. Despite Kathleen's absence from social media and the spotlight, she is always supporting her husband from behind the scenes.

Like their relationship, several celebrities have once broken and rekindled their romance, including Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, who called it quits in 2003 before tying the knot years later.
