Sarah Snook Proposed to Her Husband after They Fell in Love during Lockdown - She Married Comedian Dave Lawson
Actress Sarah Snook, best known for her work on the TV series "Succession," proposed to comedian Dave Lawson after they were quarantined together during the pandemic.
The pandemic and the subsequent stress of confinement ruined many relationships and marriages. Still, for awesome Australian actress Sarah Snook, it was the magic wand that turned a best friend into a best lover and husband.
Sarah Snook's husband is another Australian actor and comedian, Dave Lawson, and the two have known each other for years and even worked together on his comedy talk show, "Dave's Shed Show."

Sarah Snook was born on December 1, 1987, in Adelaide, Australia, and developed a passion for acting at a very young age. She started working in classical theater, where she took on challenging roles in "Macbeth, "King Lear," and" Saint Joan."
Snook quickly became known as one of Australia's best and most versatile actresses and caught the attention of international audiences in films like "Predestination," "Jessabelle," and "Steve Jobs."
In 2018 she was cast in the HBO series "Succession" and wowed audiences and critics alike with her portrayal of the smart, politically savvy but ultimately vulnerable Shiv Roy. Snook has an impressive list of awards to her name, including a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critics' Choice Award.
But even though has become an international star, Snook has kept a firm foot on the Australian continent, filming several films there. On February 2020, she married an Australian in the backyard of her home in Brooklyn.

Sarah Proposed to Dave after Being Isolated Together
According to Sarah Snook, she has known Dave Lawson since 2014, considered him her "best mate," and had even shared a home with him before. In 2018, Snook was a guest on Lawson's comedy talk show, "Dave's Shed Show." Somehow, for all those years, the sparks didn't fly; they were never single at the same time.
Something changed when the actress found herself confined in Melbourne, Australia, by the pandemic. She and Lawson became even closer, and the two best friends fell head-over-heels in love. Snook admitted:
"We've been friends since 2014, lived together, traveled together, always excited to see each other, but totally platonic."
When Snook was nominated for her first Emmy during the lockdown, Lawson sculpted her a tin foil award in case she won. The winner was Julia Garner, and Snook sent her the tin foil award, but she kept the man and proposed to him.
Dave Is the Great-Grandson of Australia's Best Short Story Writer
Sooks fans are wondering who Lawson is and how he stole the heart of the beautiful redhead. Lawson was born on September 25, 1978, in Australia, of course. Words are a family talent, and his great-grandfather was Henry Lawson, considered Australia's best short story writer and poet.
The couple's marriage only became public after almost a year, and they've kept their relationship out of the public eye.
Lawson also has a gift for words; he keeps them laughing in the aisles with his stand-up routines. He has won several coveted awards, like the Comedy Custodians Award for Best New Talent, and is one of Australia's funniest men.
He married Snook in an intimate ceremony attended by her "Succession" costar, Ashley Zukerman, who was their witness. In the acclaimed HBO series, Zuckerman plays Shiv Roy's lover, Nate Sofrelli.

Dave Has a Great Resumé
His wife may be more famous internationally, but Dave Lawson is also a household name in his native Australia and beyond, and not just on the stand-up circuit. He has been working as an actor since the early 2000s with a guest spot in the Australian Police series "Blue Heelers."
Since then, he has worked regularly on Australian TV, with shows like "Bruce," "Ms. Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries," and "Wentworth." He has made several movies too, most notably "Peter Rabbit," "Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway," and the rom-com "I Love You Too."

A Very Private Couple
The couple's marriage only became public after almost a year, and they've kept their relationship out of the public eye. Even photos of the two together at events are rare. One of the last times they were seen together was at the 65th BFI London Film Festival in October 2021.
They were seen again two months later in Sydney at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, but that doesn't mean they posed for a snap on the red carpet. They were photographed in candid shots and never as a couple.
Lawson's social media accounts are private, though his "Dave in the Shed" Instagram isn't. Snook has deleted all posts from her Instagram page except for a whimsical video clip of a caterpillar walking by the pool.

Sarah Would like to Have Children
Ever since Snook's marriage became common knowledge back in 2021, fans have been looking for hints that the actress might be pregnant. There were rumors, but no signs of that just yet. Snook confessed:
"When’s the right time to have kids? It’s the age-old question for women and there is no answer. I definitely would like to have children, if I’m lucky enough to be able to."
Snook has indicated she is not thinking of motherhood any time soon. She is currently invested in her burgeoning career and dividing her time between the United States and her native Australia.
