Julian Casablancas Divorced His Wife Juliet Joslin of 14 Years & Reportedly Went on to Date Woman Half His Age

Julian Casablancas has enjoyed success as The Strokes frontman, lead singer, and songwriter. However, his personal life also came under the spotlight when he divorced his longtime wife and began dating a woman much young than himself.

After The Strokes' lead vocalist, Julian Casablancas, 44, announced that he was getting married in 2004, he went on to tie the knot with a member of the band's management company, Juliet Joslin, the following year. In ten years, Julian and Juliet had two sons, Cal and Zephyr Casablancas.

In 2019, the couple split after 15 years of being married. Soon after, reports surfaced that The Strokes' frontman had a new girlfriend, believed to be half his age. An interesting and relevant fact about his parent's relationship emerged.

15-years-later, while the band competed with Pop-star Dua Lipa for the number 1 album on the UK charts, a close source spoke about their separation:

"Julian split from Juliet about a year ago but has been determined to keep it private, but now he's moved on, he can't really pretend it hasn't happened anymore."

The source mentions that the vocalist is in a relationship with a young lady named Kaya, who Julian takes with him wherever he goes. Kaya was a roadie who Julian met during a US tour.

Julian takes his new lover to all the events he attends, including exclusive shows and backstage experiences. The couple was spotted during the months leading up to the global lockdown in March 2020.

"Making an album can be like being pregnant: you want to pop that thing out and show everybody."

He summarized their anticipation of their first child as something they were prepared for. The singer revealed that he and his partner were ready for the newborn. They were gifted clothing by people around them and had already gotten the child's crib.

The Strokes is a Rock band formed in 1998 by members: Julian Casablancas, Fabrizio Moretti; Nick Valensi; Nikolai Fraiture; and Albert Hammond. The band has never broken up since its inception, although plagued by dry patches in between specific albums. Currently active, The strokes perform at live shows and music festivals.
