Nancy Leigh Kelley Is Already in Her Teens – Facts about Katherine Heigl's Oldest Daughter
Nancy Leigh Kelley is the eldest daughter of Katherine Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelley. The couple adopted her from South Korea in 2009 and named her after Heigl's mother and sister, who was also adopted from Korea. Nancy Leigh and her family, including two younger siblings, are tight-knit.
Nancy Leigh, or Naleigh Mi-Eun, as her parents like to call her, is already a big girl. Her mother recently posted pictures of her and her younger siblings, Joshua Bishop and Adalaide Marie, getting ready to return to school. In one photo, she wrapped her younger sister in her arms as a big sister would.
However, despite being a teenager, she still does not have a phone. Whenever she wants to go online on her own time, she has to use her mother's iPad secretly. The teen is generally kept from the public eye by her celebrity parents. However, some details about her are general knowledge.

Nancy Leigh Got Her Name in Honor of Her Relatives
In 2009, Heigl, during an appearance on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," mentioned that she and her husband were looking to adopt a baby girl from South Korea with immediate effect. On September 10, 2009, they welcomed their baby, whom they named Nancy Leigh after Heigl's mother and sister, respectively.
This was not the first time Katherine Heigl had become family with someone of Korean descent. Her sister, Margaret Leigh, was also adopted from the Korean Republic by her parents; hence, adoption is close to her heart. Even before marrying Kelley, she ensured he would support her adoption plans.
Nancy Leigh Has Appeared on "The View" Twice
When she was three years old, Nancy Leigh made her debut on television with an unscripted appearance on "The View." She had been sitting in the audience while her mother was being interviewed on the talk show when she locked eyes with her mother and suddenly ran to hug her.
The second time she appeared on "The View," she was already grown up. Again, she had accompanied her mother and was sitting in the audience. During that episode, the show decided to show a throwback clip of their first appearance. It brought Heigl to tears, who recalled that it was a moment for her.
Nancy Leigh's Parents Are Both Famous
Nancy Leigh has parents who are well-known in Hollywood and the music industry. Her mother has appeared in many television shows and movies, including alongside Patrick Dempsey in "Grey's Anatomy." Kelley is a musician who has had two top 40 billboard songs. The power couple began dating in 2005 and married in 2007.
The parents adore their eldest child. Katherine Heigl has gotten to know her child more as she has grown up after being somewhat absent in her early years. In dedication to Nancy Leigh, Heigl noted, "The girl that made me a mother. The girl that gave my life purpose. Meaning. Direction. Boundless, eternal love."
Nancy Is Not the Only Adopted Child in Her Family
Nancy Leigh has two siblings. Shortly after concluding the adoption process for Nancy Leigh, Heigl mentioned that she would be happy to have a second child, biological or adopted. Less than three years later, in April 2012, they welcomed Adalaide Marie Hope Kelley, who was adopted like her older sister.
The couple's second daughter was adopted locally from Louisana. Recalling the moment when she first held her, Heigl said Adalaide was so small that she could almost fit in the palm of her hand and weighed just 4 pounds and 11 ounces. She gave her the nickname peanut after that.
In 2016, Nancy Leigh got the exciting news that she was getting a baby brother. On December 20, 2016, the Kelley household welcomed Joshua Bishop Kelley. He became Heigl and Josh's first and only biological child so far.
Nancy Leigh and her siblings seem to have developed a close bond with each other and their parents, who try to spend as much time as they can with their three children. It looks like she enjoys the role of big sister.
