Kirstie Alley passed away at 71 after battling cancer. Her children announced her passing on Instagram and said she was surrounded by loved ones when she died. They also mentioned she had only just recently learned she had cancer.

As soon as her family announced her death, fans and costars began mentioning how wonderfully Alley treated all of them and how much she would be missed. Many tributes have poured in.

Alley's family took to her Instagram page to share a photo of her on a bicycle with an accompanying caption that announced her death. They mentioned she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and a successful actress.

The same photo and caption were shared on her daughter's Instagram page, where fans, family, and friends sent their condolences to the family. Alley starred in "Cheers," "Look Who's Talking," and "Veronica's Closet."
