Jamie Lee Curtis's career has spanned decades. Through the years, the actress has appeared in multiple films and racked up a list of awards, and at 64, she continues to thrill fans with her impeccable acting.

From a young age, Curtis became acquainted with the spotlight as she was born to famous Hollywood parents, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, but it was not until later that she became a celebrity herself.

Although Curtis was not raised by her parents because they divorced when she was 3, neither did she enjoy fatherly love from the iconic actor; she grew up with a mother and father figure.

Janet and her fourth husband, Robert Brandt, a stockbroker raised Curtis intentionally as disciplinarians — the actress described their parenting as strict.

Despite being introduced to showbiz at a young age, she did not portray any passion for acting; however, Curtis was an active student, cheerleading at the all-girls Westlake School in Los Angeles.

Surprisingly, after her time in Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut and a semester at the University of the Pacific, Curtis began nursing her desire to act.

The "Trading Places" star tested the waters with an audition for the teenage detective, Nancy Drew. However, she was not picked for the role. Still, that did not deter her as she soon focused full-time on acting and single-handedly catapulted her way to stardom.

First, the University dropout landed roles in popular shows, including "Quincy M.E." and "Columbo," before working closely with her dad in the military comedy, "Operation Petticoat."

Curtis starred in numerous on-screen features, earning the lead roles and acting with famous actors like John Travolta and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Some of these notable blockbusters include "Love Letters," "Perfect," "A Fish Called Wanda, and "Anything But Love." By 1994, after bagging a Golden Globe award, she shocked fans with a different on-screen persona portrayed in the action-adventure, "True Lies."

This was merely the evolution of the talented on-screen goddess who went on to showcase her acting skills by appearing in horror films — "The Halloween" series and other movie genres.

Besides her TV successes, Curtis has gained recognition as a children's book author. Her first children's book, released in 1993, titled "When I Was Little: A Four-Year-Old's Memoir of Her Youth," was well received.

She has remained true to the game, bringing every character to life in her films and caging her audience through her truthfulness in her writings. But Curtis is more than a performer or a brilliant writer; she inspires many as she upholds her femininity.

Jamie Lee Curtis Is Proud to Uphold Her Feminine Side

Basking in her feminine power has always been a thing of pride. As a younger actress, she felt comfortable showing off her body in films like "Trading Places," and "True Lies."

More than forty years later, the movie legend shares the same sentiment — she enjoys flaunting her body for photos. One of her recent projects was modeling in empowering shoots for The New York Times.

Another photo showed her in a fishnet paired with a black bathing suit while she basked in the mild sun rays.

Looking back at her younger years when her sex appeal was exploited for her big-time films, Curtis admitted that she has yet to lose touch with her body confidence and is bent on embracing her eternal glamour. In her words:

"I have a motto now, as I am past that sell-by date, which is, 'if not now, when? If not me, who? And after more than 40 years in the business, I am busier today that I have ever been in my entire life."

Her words on accepting herself and working confidently with her body are laced with pride, but there was once a time when Curtis was trapped in the Hollywood beauty fever. The "Freaky Friday" star tried to cheat nature by using plastic surgery to keep a youthful appearance, but in the end, it worsened her self-confidence.

Curtis has never been tightlipped about her experience. In a brutally honest interview with Lorraine Kelly on "Lorraine," after being praised for being an inspiration to Dawn French, a Hollywood star, the veteran actress replied:

"Lovely! I have been an advocate for natural beauty for a long time, mostly because I've had the trial and error of the other part. I did plastic surgery – it didn't work. I hated it. It made me feel worse."

Jamie Lee Curtis Refuses to Cheat Nature

"The Halloween" star lives her life free of fear and regrets. She learned lessons and refused to repeat her past mistakes. In the same "Lorraine" interview, Curtis talked about how she was obsessed with her hair color. Once, she tried to look attractive for a role but ended up burning her hair.

While this was a humiliating experience, it introduced her to a new appearance—this was the first time she got a haircut and the last time she dyed her hair.

Since then, the "Trading Places" star did not aspire to look perfect. She refused hair dye, botox, and plastic surgery. For Curtis, aging is a life process, and cheating would incur undesired results. In a passionate tone, she quipped:

"And the term, anti-ageing… what? What are you talking about? … We're all going to die. Why do you want to look 17 when you're 70? I want to look 70 when I'm 70."

Accepting her appearance and empowering women are two assignments she has successfully carried out. Her photo shoot session with the celebrity photographer Ryan Pfluger for The New York Times proves that she is unapologetic.

Curtis, who is in awe of Pfluger's works, eventually became his subject, and their creation was perfect! These talented individuals delighted fans with professionally edited photos championing nature and natural beauty.

In one of the images, she was unclad and posed behind a huge rock in front of a garden of green plants and a bold tree. Another photo showed her in a fishnet paired with a black bathing suit while she basked in the mild sun rays.

Curtis embodies her art, whether acting or posing behind the cameras, and she is not overwhelmed by the naysayers. Instead, she glories in sharing her body independence. In an interview with The Times, she said:

"I'm now in this beautiful new wave of my work, which is transformative."
