Robin Tunney was born in Chicago on June 19, 1972, to Irish-American parents and studied drama at the Chicago Academy for the Arts alongside actress Lara Flynn Boyle. At 18, Tunney moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
She started working on TV, landing roles in two movies, "Perry Mason: The Case of Reckless Romeo," and "JFK: Reckless Youth." The same year she filmed "Perry Mason," she made her first major motion picture, "Encino Man," with Brendan Fraser.
Her breakthrough role was in the teen 1996 cult supernatural thriller, "The Craft," in which she had the lead and worked alongside Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Fairuza Balk. Since then, Tunney has made over 30 films.
She starred in the iconic series "Prison Break" as Veronica Donovan and in the police procedural "The Mentalist" as FBI Special Agent Teresa Lisbon. The actress has been seen at red carpet events with her movie star-handsome fiancé, Nick Marmet.
Robin Tunney's Fiancé Nicky Marmet Is an Interior Designer
In 2021, Tunney started dating handsome interior designer Nick Mamet, nine years her junior. Marmet was born in Los Angeles in 1981 and attended UCLA as a design student but left to work for designer Brad Dunning before graduating.
Tunney was first married in 1997 to producer, actor, and director Bob Gosse with whom she worked on the movies "Niagara, Niagara," and "Runaway."
Marmet started his own company, Nicky Marmet Design, in 2013 and is responsible for the interior architecture and design of a series of stunning homes in Hollywood, Malibu, and Century City.
2013 was a big year for Marmet. He not only started his own design company but also proposed to actress Robin Tunney in romantic Rio de Janeiro on Christmas Day with his grandmother's diamond set in the engagement ring.
It was his second proposal in just a few days since Tunney was ill the first time around and ended up being sick. Tunney accepted the second proposal, but nearly a decade later, the couple seems to have happily settled into a long engagement.

Nicky Marmet and Robin Tunney Raise Two Adorable Kids Together
Tunney and Marmet welcomed their first child, son Oscar Holly Marmet, in 2016 and a second baby -- a girl they named Colette Kathleen Mamet -- in 2020. Tunney, who was 44 at the time of Oscar's birth, kept the pregnancy a secret. Tunney posted an adorable snap of the baby and captioned it:
"My greatest work, Oscar Holly Marmet. Picture by my friend @shannonleeimages. Sorry I didn't talk about being pregnant. Wanted to keep it all for myself."
When Oscar was three, the couple welcomed Colette Kathleen, and once again, the first the fans heard of the pregnancy was the birth announcement. Tunney shared that Colette was born with strawberry-blonde hair and a bossy attitude.
Tunney revealed that becoming a mother alleviated life-long anxiety. Her life is too full of activities and positive energy to allow anxiety to gain a foothold. To judge by the sweet post and shoutouts Tunney shares on Instagram, Marmet is a loving and devoted dad to their two children.
