On December 3, 2022, Brendan Fraser celebrated his birthday when he turned 54! The "George of the Jungle" star enjoyed his birthday with his family, including his three sons, whom he shared with Afton Smith.
The actor and his ex-wife first met in 1993 when he started his career and fell in love. On September 27, 1998, the couple married, and a few years later, they welcomed their first child, Griffin Arthur Fraser, in 2002.

In 2004 and 2006, the duo extended their family with the addition of Holden Fletcher and Leland Francis Fraser. Sadly, their marriage wasn't meant for forever, and in 2007, they separated.
However, they continued co-parenting their children, and in 2018, Brendan confessed to having his sons visit him "all the time." The star didn't share much about his children, but once in a while, he spoke about them in interviews.

In November 2022, "The Mummy Trilogy" star's two sons, Leland and Holden, made a rare public appearance with him. The pair joined their famous father for the screening of his then-upcoming movie, "The Whale."
How Did Brendan's Sons Support Him at "The Whale" Premiere?
On November 29, 2022, Brendan's sons supported him by going to "The Whale's" New York City screening with him. It was the first red carpet appearance for Leland, then 16, and Holden, then 18, with their father.

The two boys had strikingly handsome looks and resembled their father from his "George of the Jungle" days! The siblings even shared his piercing blue eyes, with Brendan attending the event dressed in a navy pinstripe suit.
Holden, who posed with his brother and father on the red carpet, wore a gray turtleneck and a navy jacket with dark pants. His brother was dressed in a patterned button-down shirt that brought attention to his orange hair, a black coat, and matching pants.
The two boys were models signed with a New York agency; however, Leland was also in a band called The Alligators, where he played guitar. Griffin, then 20, was the only one missing from the screening.
When People magazine shared two Instagram images of the trio posing together for photos, stunned fans couldn't help but comment. One fan thought the apple hadn't fallen far from the tree, adding:
"These young men are very handsome, like their Papa."

A second person also agreed that the pair were quite handsome and did, indeed, take after their "awesome" father. Someone else also shared the same sentiments noting how the "handsome genes" had passed onto the two boys.
The Fraser boys have been lucky to have a father like Brendan, who not only focused his energy on his work but also on them. In past interviews, the star revealed his children's role in his life and spoke highly of the trio.
What Did Brendan Say about Fatherhood?
In 2018, Brendan shared that his oldest child was on the autism spectrum and needed extra love, which he got it. The star said Griffin had a curing effect on everyone who met him.

He revealed how his oldest son could relieve people's sharper edges and make them find more compassionate ways of dealing with things. Brendan said he'd noticed how when people were around Grifin; they didn't put themselves first as much.
He [Brendan Fraser] shared how when he [Leland Francis Fraser] was a little boy he would go through briers and brushes, coming out smiling and scratched as if nothing happened!
The private star also shared how his relationship with Griffin helped him to connect more with Charlie, the English teacher he played in "The Whale." The actor said his son was the happiest person and a manifestation of love in his and other people's lives, noting:
"Being with my kids and their mom and our family has given me such love that if ever I needed..."
Brendan said their love helped him "to hold something of value up to try and translate that to what was important to Charlie" and "I didn't have to look far." He noted how since his children were small, one was always the enforcer while the other was the spokesperson.
In 2010, he also lovingly confessed that his movie, "Extraordinary Measures," made him appreciate his "very healthy" children, saying, "I always hug and kiss them whether they like it or not," before stating:
"'I'm like, 'Come here, you,' and you blow raspberries on them. That's what I do."
In a telling confession, the actor also said, "I'd throw myself in front of a train if I had to for their well-being." He said it didn't mean one could protect their children from everything, but one must try.

Speaking about Leland, he shared how when he was a little boy; he would go through briers and brushes, coming out smiling and scratched as if nothing had happened! The actor revealed how fatherhood had taught him to be more loving daily.
Brendan also hoped to show his sons his films when they were older because a satisfying movie experience with family was when it was with family. He also anticipated that they might find his work on their own.
