Alpough's husband, now an analyst for ESPN, is famous for his time in the NBA, where he had a successful career that spanned one and a half decades and took him to four cities. The possibility of always moving made it difficult for Alpough to focus on her career.

After supporting her husband throughout his career by putting his career first in their professional lives, Alpough has come into her own after Perkins' retirement. Because they are more settled in one place now, she has established her own business and works as a real estate agent.

However, that is not her only gig. Alpough has stated that she is open to doing anything. Therefore, besides the hair business, she also doubles as a real estate agent. She works at Keller Williams Realty, a company for which Chuck Norris's daughter, Dina Norris, has also worked. The agency is based in Texas.

Kendrick Perkins

Kendrick Le Dale Perkins' claim to fame is his exploits in the NBA, where he played from 2003 to 2018. Perkins is a native of Texas, born in Nederland on November 10, 1984. His grandparents raised him on a farm, and he attended Clifton J. Ozen High School. He joined the NBA straight out of high school.

During his 15 seasons in the NBA, the 6 ft 10 center played features in four franchises. He was drafted 27th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2003 NBA draft but got traded immediately to the Boston Celtics, so he never played for the Grizzlies. His team was the Boston Celtics from 2003 to 2011.

Perkins had a successful stint in Boston, winning the 2008 championship. He then moved to Oklahoma City Thunder from 2011 to 2015. While there, he shared the court with basketball poster boy Kevin Durant. Next was the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he shared the court with the legendary LeBron James.

He played for the Cavaliers in 2015 and 2018. They were appearances for the New Orleans Pelicans and non-NBA team Canton Charge in between the two-part season in Cleveland. However, at that time, Perkins was already in the Twilight of his career and had minimal game time.

He has since retired from playing in 2018 and taken up punditry and on-air commentary. He has worked for various television networks, primarily NBC Sports and ESPN. Viewers can also catch Perkins on talk shows such as "SportsCenter" and "NBA Today."

Vanity and Kendrick Were High School Sweethearts before Marrying

Alpough and Perkins' love story seems like a fairytale of some sort because it has a feeling of a forever-after type of love linked to it. The longtime couple has been together since 10th or 11th grade when using the Alpough version of the story.

They were together for the rest of their school days and the early parts of Perkins' career before they married. The wedding took place in The Woodland, Texas, at the elegant Carlton Woods Country Club on July 25, 2009. It was well attended with many guests, including family, close friends, and his teammates from the Boston Celtics.

The wedding featured an astounding sixteen groomsmen and sixteen bridesmaids. Some of the groomsmen included NBA stars Patrick O'Bryant and Rajon Rondo. Some of the pictures from the wedding can be found on the mhphouston website, the official photographer for the glamorous event.

Alpough and Perkins were parents first before they tied the knot. They welcomed their first child, a son, on September 11, 2007. They named him after his father, and he became Kendrick Perkins II. Another boy followed two years after the wedding and four years after the birth of their first.

Kenxton was born on October 11, 2011. In 2020, she celebrated her son's 9th birthday on Instagram with a special dedication to him. The post had pictures depicting his journey from his first few months after birth to 2020. The post was accompanied by a message which partly read:

"They say the middle child gets lost in the sauce....Well not my son! Kenxton Raymond Perkins, Thank you for being so loving and so much fun! You keep our family going and bring us all joy!"

Alpough and Kendrick added to their family again when on October 21, 2016, their third and fourth children were delivered. They welcomed twins Karter, a boy, and Zoey, a girl. The twins already have a shared Instagram account with over a thousand followers. The pictures on their page show them doing various fun activities.

During the Covid 19 quarantine, when the family was all holed up at their home, the kids and their mother would form a partnership with the sole purpose of pranking their Perkins. Alpough appears to be a very active and hands-on mother who keeps tabs on many things her children do, especially on the internet.
